Dinner and dancing to follow
Turkish wedding ceremonies differ quite a bit from American ones, and we plan to combine the best of both. We won't have a wedding party, but we will have witnesses. In a Turkish wedding, the bride and groom walk down the aisle without preamble (but accompanied with fireworks), then sit down at a table and sign a contract. For our wedding, we'd like a little more ritual than that. Both Turkish and American weddings highlight the bride and groom's first dance, but afterward we'll visit each guest and collect gold coins, Turkey style. We won't have fireworks, but we will have vows. Also a wedding cake and a sword, maybe.
PHOTOGRAPHER
We're thrilled and feel very, very incredibly lucky to have the immensely talented, funny and wonderful Angela Cappetta to photograph our wedding with her highly acclaimed documentary approach.
You can fall in love with her work here.
