Charlene was born in upstate New York and raised along the east coast. She is a graduate of Jacksonville University and just recently left the PGA TOUR to become a consultant for their women's initiatives in their Tournament Activation and Outreach Department. Charlene was with the TOUR for five years and her primary focus was on promoting the charitable efforts of THE PLAYERS Championship. Charlene's role grew to be the liaison on the development of women’s initiatives at tournaments across the country. Prior to joining the TOUR, Charlene was best known for her 10 years as the anchor of the weekend morning and evening newscasts on First Coast News, the NBC and ABC affiliate in Jacksonville.
Charlene has been recognized several times over for her excellence in journalism both on a local and national level. Her most noteworthy awards include the Gabrielle Award, sponsored by the Catholic Communicators in radio and television, the Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists along with a regional Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts.
Charlene was also named as “The Most Crush-Worthy Female Celebrity,” by Florida Times-Union subscribers, “Best Hairdo in Town” and “Best Pitchwoman” by Folio Magazine readers. She is currently on the board of The Cathedral Arts Project and Blessings in a Backpack.
Mark was born in Parma, Ohio. He received his undergraduate and post graduate degrees at the University of North Florida. Mark is a Value Consultant with Oracle and spends a lot of his time on the road. Mark enjoys traveling and has had the chance to visit Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, France, England, Hawaii, Singapore, Guatamala, Argentina, Brazil, Equador, Canada, Mexico, Italy, the Phillipines, China, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Aruba, Bahamas and Puerto Rico.
It was during his world travels where Mark developed his culinary courage to devour anything sold from a street vendor or served on a stick. Mark also served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman, Second Class for two years and was stationed at Mayport Naval Station. It was during his stay in Mayport that inititally brought him to the Jacksonville area.
Mark loves cruising around the beach on his bike or in his GEM Golf Cart (he's pretty proud of that cart!) In Mark's free time he enjoys anything tecnhnological, putting together all things Ikea, playing volley ball and bowling with the Banana Hammocks!
