It is the most precious gift Christian could have given me! He proposed with his late grandmother's wedding ring. It is beautiful, truly unique and so sentimental that it could make a girl cry. ;o)

Bretton Woods Recreation Center in Germantown, Maryland
We wanted a simple, more classic style that wouldn’t look terribly dated in all the photos 30 years from now. My gown was Anjolique (in light gold), BM’s dresses were Watters WooToo (in cognac), tuxes were a twist on the ascot style (with cut-away jackets, vests, tie, and tip collar).
Our flowers were a mix of white hydrangea, callas (minis in white and peach), and Leonidas and Stella roses.

Bretton Woods Recreation Center Germantown, Maryland
Bretton Woods is a hidden treasure for those seeking a wedding venue! You would never find the place searching online for venues. We heard about it by word of mouth (from a friend that had been to another wedding there).
We were sold after taking one look at the ballroom! It is open, with floor to ceiling windows and the placement of the dancefloor is ideal - right in the center of the room. There is not a bad seat in the house for guests watching the first dance, cake cutting etc! The room just has warm glow and creates a beautiful setting.
The food quality is very good. We wanted to do something different, and served a family style BBQ as a tribute to my Texas roots. Let me just say that it was the most attractive presentation I have EVER seen for BBQ. It was done in a very classy way and tasted fantastic! Many of guests complimented us on the quality of the meal. The Bretton Woods staff was very open to our request for BBQ, even though it wasn't on their standard wedding menu. They embraced the idea and helped us present a casual meal in a wonderful way, allowing us to keep the formal feel of the reception.
Aki, the manager, is great to work with. He has many years experience and offers his expertise and ideas when you ask. He has done this hundreds of times and it shows! Prices for facility rental and meals are very competitive. Actually, Bretton Woods offered the best pricing of all the venues we looked at - and the quality was outstanding.
If you want a wedding album to die for, Studio Marais is the way to go! Danny, Ken and John are extremely easy to work with and captured our wedding beautifully! We can't stop looking at the pictures and everyone who has seen their finished product is full of compliments.
They have provided us with a truly valuable keepsake!
Klassy Kreations is a must for every bride-to-be! They carry a variety of rental items, plus can help with flowers/decorations, etc. Adizat, the owner, has set very competitive prices and truly appreciates that a lot of brides have a strict budget to stick to! She's incredibly professional, service is excellent and the product selection is great!
For our wedding, we rented chair covers and cloth napkins from KK. If you need chair covers, Klassy Kreations is THE PLACE to get them! I did hours of research trying to find chair covers within our budget. Klassy Kreations has the lowest prices in town, by far! Their prices are comparable to many rental places available online - but with KK you get local service, high quality (no wrinkles) and wonderful installation. Honestly, we were about to give up on chair covers when we found Klassy Kreations.
I simply cannon say enough great things about this vendor. Do yourself a favor - just check out the website and call! No matter what your wedding needs are, Klassy Kreations can probably help. You won't be disappointed!
What impressed me most about Tonya is that she REALLY listens. After we met and she forwarded her proposal for our wedding flowers, I was amazed. She captured everything thing I imagined on paper, precisely! Proposals that I received from other florists were no where near as close to my vision (and I gave them the exact same description of what I wanted).
When I needed to cut my floral budget a little, Tonya worked with me, making suggestions that worked perfectly but did not compromise our wedding style. In the end our flowers were absolutely beautiful and we got several compliments from wedding guests. Tonya is truly an artist who is professional, flexible and provides great service. Just go try the cake and it will speak for itself! Our wedding cake was moist, fresh and delicious. Our guests had nothing but wonderful compliments on how wonderful it tasted. You cannot beat the quality for the Chantel's price.
Delivery and service were also excellent.
I Do I Do Wedding Gowns Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877
I worked with Jaqueline at I Do, I Do and my experience was excellent. Before I even started trying on dresses, she took the time to ask me what styles I like, what my day-to-day style is, what areas of my body I wanted to highlight (and hide) and what style wedding we were having. I pulled several dresses from the racks, but none worked. That's when Jaqueline brought me a few and said, "Just try these on for me." That was it - five minutes later I had picked my dress! It was beautiful and everything I wanted - the thing is, I would never have selected the dress myself, simply because I did not think the style would have worked on me. Jaqueline's experience and knowledge helped me find the perfect dress!
In addition, their seamstress does a wonderful job - she gave me a "French" bustle. No one at the wedding had ever seen a bustle like it before (even our wedding coordinator) and I got a lot of compliments on it.

Frank was amazing and we cannot say enough good things about him. He's a true professional and his years of experience really show. Our first DJ fell through a couple months before the wedding and I was in a panic - especially since our wedding date was during a VERY BUSY time for weddings in our area. Frank replied almost immediately to my call and from the first conversation I had a good feeling about him - just his phone personality was great!
He provided two music set-ups, one for our outdoor ceremony and one for the indoor reception. The music quality was excellent and he prepared every song we asked for. In some cases, he found far better versions of the songs than we had requested.
For the reception, he kept the party going. He followed the playlist we requested, but, as needed, he modified the song selections to read the crowd and ensured a full dance floor. When we (the bride and groom) got behind schedule, he seamlessly got us back on track without anyone noticing!

You cannot find a better DJ than Frank. He's an absolute pleasure to work with and FAR more experienced and professional than the random DJs you could be assigned through one of the DJ companies (I talked to several of them, trust me!). His prices are very competative and worth every penny!!
Allan was wonderful! My husband and I could not be happier with our choice for a videographer. He is dedicated to creating truly unique videos that capture the joy of your event. With Allan, you don't just get a wedding video - you get a full documentary of the event from start to finish. After our first meeting with him, it was clear to us that he has a passion for this and as a result treats each client and their video with care and gives it his full attention.
He went above and beyond capturing footage of our wedding - from the rehearsal, to the salon that morning, interviews throughout the reception, and even an interview with my husband and I after all the events of the day finished. His prices are very competative and he provides better comprehesive video coverage than all of the other videographers that I interviewed.

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to Shannon for all of her assistance as our wedding coordinator.
Everything covered in all of the other reviews here are 100% correct and reflect our experience with Shannon. Rather than repeating all of the same things, I will add this: The facilities manager at the golf course where we had our ceremony/reception had very impressive comments on Shannon after our wedding. He said that he normally gets very nervous when brides say they have hired an outside wedding coordinator, because they have had some pretty bad experiences in the past. However, he said that Shannon is the absolute best coordinator that he has ever worked with in his 20+ years of experience. He referred to her as a "Real Class Act" and said that he will refer her to other brides that use their facility. As long as he can work with Shannon, he said does not mind coordinators at all.
Honestly, Shannon is an experienced professional who is VERY good at her job. She kept our entire wedding day running smoothly and I did not worry about a thing all day (and this is a big deal coming from someone who has to plan every little detail).
