I cannot say enough good things about this venue. The venue is beautiful. I was married on April 11, 2009. I had my ceremony and reception here. Jeanette was wonderful. She was very helpful throughout the entire process. Even when I changed my mind about rooms and balconied. She helped me accomodate last minute guests who RSVP'd 5 days before the wedding. On day of, the venue really set-up the everything exactly like I asked, they didn't forget anything which is awesome. I had a Victorian (Pride & Prejudice) inspired wedding, so there were lots of special details to make sure that were set up correctly. They did them all. The food was amazing. I never got to try the appetizers because of pictures and the bustling of my dress, but all my guests said they were wonderful. My parents-in-law love cheese so Jeanette even allowed me to customize the cheese display to include our favorite imported cheese. All the guests thought the food was wonderful and elegant. When my wedding coordinator disapperared, Jeanette made sure everything went according to schedule. She organized with the band, my dj, my photographer. And all this for a very reasonable price. I searched over 6 months for a beautiful wedding venue that did not want $15-20,000 and I am so happy we found Pine Forest here on wedding wire. I am so pleased with the way it turned out. Again I strongly recommend this place to anyone. I will have pictures up soon on my website.

Justin did an awesome job. My husband and I are very happy. He was always prompt and ontime to every meeting. He offered great suggestions and I always felt very secure (no stress :P) about him being in charge of photography. We had our engagement pictures taken at the butterfly atrium at Museum of Natural Science in downtown Houston. They turned out really well. He helped us pose and had great ideas for pictures since my husband and I are not photogenic. :P He made us feel comfortable in front of the lens. On day of, he arrived early to take some pictures of my husband and the groomsmen and me and the bridesmaids. He helped keep the groomsmen from being too lazy and weasling out of the after pictures (they complained alot :P). During the wedding and reception, he was always around taking pictures. Never obtruisve or annoying. I think he did an amazing job. He stayed all the way to the end. My mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about Justin and so do I. Also, he was very reasonably priced in usually an unreasonable market (ie, weddings). He did a fantastic job. I was blessed with wonderful vendors for my wedding. :D Highly recommend to anyone needing a photographer.

Kim was wonderful. Her personality is outstanding and you really feel that she cares about your cake. I was very picky about my baker because I wanted a cake that was pretty, tasted wonderful, and wasn't the downpayment on a new car. (I went through 18 tastings before discovering Kim.) I got all 3 with Kim. She was very flexible when I changed my mind from the traditional cake to the cupcake cake which my guests adored. They loved it. Her cake flavors are amazing. Her carrot is just heaven. :P So I had red velvet, carrot, lemon cupcakes, and mini banana puddings for my cake. (I wanted fruit ones because it was a throwback to the Victorian fruit cake.) My guests ate quite a few...many came back for seconds and took some home. I also had a mini cake to cut for the traditon of cake cutting as well as the charm cake tradition. My husbands cake was designed to look like the first Nintendo console with 2 controllers. It looked awesome. One of the kids tried to go push the button. It was cute though the controller did hold up to his fingers quite like he thought they would. :P She used homemade fondant which tasted good and the cake was heavenly. She was always responded right away and was so helpful in everything. In fact, I will miss going to her shop to talk to her and getting the delicious desserts to bring home to my family. :D She also did the cake for my grandmother's birthday which was the day after my wedding and she did the bread pudding for my grandfaters birthday. She is awesome. I will be using her again in the future and I hope others will too.

I found the dress of my dreams at this store for an amazing good price. In my opinon, they are reasonably priced for dresses. However, my one big gripe is that I paid for a hollow to hem so that I would not have to hem the bottom of the dress since it was all chantilly lace scalloping along the bottom and expensive to do. I got the dress in, it was not one inch off like they warned might happen...it was over 4 inches to long. And no they would not refund the money and the obvious not done hollow to hem. So I paid twice for that hem and was very unhappy about that. Also, when I went to get measured for the dress, I was one inch off in the hips from a lower size. I had told them I was in body bootcamp at the gym and didn't think I need to go up a size for that one inch. They told me that it was really hard to lose an inch in the hips and that I should go up a size. It was my decision and I went with their advice, but what I didn't realize til I paid for the dress (again my fault for not paying attention) that increase in size was an upcharge. *ugh* So the dress came in not just the two sizes that I had lost but 3 sizes to big and 4 inches to long. They did refer me to a wonderful seamstress Viktoriya who was incredible and practically had to remake the dress for me. In the end, the place has beautiful quality dresses for a great price, but please hollow to hem is a waste of money and go with your gut on the size of the dress. Also, rented the tuxes from them. They forgot to order a tophat for one of the groomsmen. I called to confirm the tuxes were in and was told they were the Tuesday before my Saturday wedding. The best man and my husband take off of work to go pick them up. They were not in so my husband and his best man took off work for nothing. I was upset at that point in time and when I asked them about the mistake they said sorry we must of confused you with someone else (alot of good that did us). The tuxes were supposed to be in that day at 2pm they didn't come in until late that day. I was very worried about the tuxes considering it was the week of the wedding. But it all worked out in the end. Good luck to all. :)

Donna was fantastic. I felt very comfortable with her leading our ceremony. She is just a wonderful person. She worked with me in creating a Victorian inspired ceremony. She allowed me to change or add words and customize the ceremony completely which is what I wanted...a unique memorable ceremony. She helped me with traditions, had numerous suggestions for ring vows, dedications, etc. She was always able to make helpful suggestions about music etc when I asked. She was very prompt and organized. I am so thankful I found her for our wedding. We had a remembrance ceremony, mom presentation ceremony, wine ceremony, rose ceremony, plus our customized wording. She did a fantastic job and I am thoroughly happy with how it turned out. In fact, my husband's favorite part of the whole wedding (as well as many of my cousins) was the ceremony. I loved it and will cherish the memories for a long time to come. Highly recommend Donna as a minister. :D
