Dan and will be getting married just after our 9 year anniversary! Dan and I are best friends! We do everything together...we're happy to just sit on the couch and watch tv together or take the dogs for a walk. We don't have to be doing anything special to have a good time!
I couldn't picture my life without him! We moved in together in 2007, and it was the best thing we ever could have done. It is so easy to live wtih eachother. We are known as "the little people, with the little dogs" to our neighbours. First we got Daisy, our little Pom Chi, which is very little. Then came Keira...the smallest golden retriever I've ever seen! And in a few years hopefully...we'll start having children.
We are both very excited to finally become official! We've waited a really long time, and it's almost hard to believe it's actually happening!
As most of you know, Dan's pretty quiet. Well, when it comes to our wedding, he has given his imput every step of the way! Luckily we've agreed on everything, from the venue, to the limo, and even to the colour! I'm glad that he's not leaving everything up to me!

The Ring
The Engagement Ring
Dan and I decided to go looking for rings together. We went to the jewelery store my aunt works at. And practically designed the ring together. Dan had alot to say when it came to what he wanted the ring to look like. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out!
I can't wait to wear it for the rest of my life!
Our Wedding Plans
The process...
Since I've been planning my wedding since I was 2 years old, I have a pretty good idea of what I want. I want a traditional day....with some modern twists!
We spent our week vacation looking for the perfect venue. We wanted something modern, elegant and magical. As soon as we walked into Carmens, we both knew it was perfect!
Once we had that booked, everything else just started falling into place. We went to a wedding show to get some ideas...that's where we found our limo! Dan is pretty excited about it...he chose the limo and the colour, and I agreed 100%.
Next came looking for a photographer...I am a photographer, so I wanted to make that decision. We "interviewed" quite a few different ones. We were close to making a selection, when Dan asked me to call one more. He was going through all the flyers we recieved from the wedding show and found a company that did Dj, photography and videography...I didn't really want to call, because I wanted someone that just did photography. But I called anyways. Dan and I went on our day off to meet with the company...and when we left, we looked at each other and said "they're perfect!" So, it was settled! We booked 3 more major details all in one!
Now, all the little things need to be sorted out...but we have TONS of time (so I think!)
Oh, and the colour scheme...I have changed my mind so many times. Started with pink, then red, then blue, then a wine colour...I couldn't choose...So I took dan to Michaels craft store. Took him to the ribbon section where there are hundreds of colours and shades...and said pick one! He picked a ribbon, we bought a section of it..and that decision was made!
Hopefully everything else works out this easy...

ooooooh jennifer...lol everything looks great! I am so happy to be apart of your day! Only 430 more days to go.. Although everything about your dream wedding has changed from when you were 10 (forest green and cranberry...jennifer dawn doran...hahaha), everything has turned out perfectly! Dan is an amazing person and is absolutely your other half. If I hadnt already found mine I would be very jealous lol. Anyways, I will be here every step of the way big sis! Love you very much :)
