Also owned and managed by Castle Catering, The Romanesque Room was the best for creating an intimate setting for our 175 guests. I loved the versatility of the space - outdoor courtyard, large cocktail reception area, and large banquet room. As our late afternoon/evening reception progressed, the whole thing was magical. We had a large contingency of guests from out of town who still talk about how wonderful our wedding was and how amazing they thought the location was.
The Romanesque Room is centrally located in Old Town Pasadena - and is an even better location to have a reception if you're having a lot of out of town guests who are staying in nearby hotels. There is a lot to see and do in Old Town before and after the wedding - day and night.
I just can't say enough wonderful things about Castle Catering (CC) and its manager, Beverly. I was immediately interested in CC as soon as we met with Beverly - she was professional, honest, and helpful. What sealed the deal for us to choose CC was when we attended their tasting with many others considering their service. They had a full bar, passed and stationed appetizers and a full sit-down dinner complete with many types of cake to choose from. But what really impressed me was a conversation I had with the server managing the crab cakes station - she had been working with CC for over 13 years!!!! Being able to retain staff who still seemed excited by their job for that long is more than impressive.
On the day of our wedding, Beverly and her team took care of EVERYTHING flawlessly. And, the coordinated very well with all of our other wedding vendors. I have referred several people to Castle Catering, and will continue to do so in the future.
THE BEST flowers and service. If you are looking for someone to turn over creative expertise - this is the place. Floral designer Linda listened to what I was looking for, took my theme, main colors and arrangement ideas into mind. The whole Michi's team created beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, garlands, corsages, boutenirs and pew decorations that truly encompassed all that I wanted. They were incredibly professional. Even better, all of the flowers held up days after my wedding day. Everything was done with exceptional expertise and care. I highly recommend!
I worked with Paulette's to create a simple, beautiful custom tiara. Made out of sterling silver and Swarovski crystal rhinestones, it was the perfect accessory to provide me the perfect touch of sparkle I wanted to accent my hairstyle and veil. I felt like a princess.
They had a great selection of off-the-shelf invitations that were just perfect for our wedding theme. The associates were incredibly helpful and provided us with the best recommendations for printing - which was all done in-store. They did an excellent job.
