We love the pictures Whitney took! They are so fun, but still very professional! The quality of the pictures really enhanced other aspects of our day and didn't distract from them as I have seen other photographers do. It took a little bit to get the pictures back...but it was WELL worth the wait! The pictures are truly amazing and it was hard for us to pick the best ones to frame because they are all frame-worthy! If you live in the greater Austin area I highly recommend them!
I do not recommend using HEB for your wedding flowers. They messed up my bridal bouquet and charged almost double what they quoted for it. It was lopsided and not what I asked for. When we asked about it, they just got mad, but fixed it anyway.
I decided after that fiasco to go there the day of my wedding before the flowers were picked up to check and make sure they did things according to the order I placed.
My bouquet, which was to be composed primarily of ivory roses and some fillers, had zero roses in it! And they only had 2 in the store to even put in it. Luckily I had some other great vendors who rose to the occasion and found some roses to be added in to it. Glad I went in to check!
I made several appointments to ensure that the order was correct, but every time I showed up either the right person wasn't there, or they had double booked the appointment.
They also aren't much cheaper than other places in town, so the benefit there is minimal. I only used them because I was told the manager of the dept. was great and that she did awesome arrangements. I don't think she ever even saw my flowers, and I only saw her once in person. They also don't deliver and other places in town do.
We LOVED our cake from Sophies Choice! We didn't want a groom's cake, so she sat down and helped us design the wedding cake to accomodate all of our guest's tastes! Each piece was white cake, raspberry filling, cream cheese filling and chocolate cake! She showed us tons of pictures and we even brought some in from online to work with. She designed exactly what we had in mind and it was delicious also! I'm just sad there was none left when we got back from the honeymoon!

I shopped here after going many places in San Antonio and not finding the right dress. I took in many pictures and after they consulted with me the girl helping me picked several dresses for me to try. I bought the very first one she suggested! I tried it on first, but wasn't really in the "find the right dress" mode yet, so kind of passed it up, but later saw it hanging again and tried it a second time and it was perfect! I stayed well past my appointment time, but they never said anything or seemed put out by it. They had great service for a reasonable priced shop. I found the wedding dresses there priced reasonably, however accessories were overpriced and I ended up getting my veil and headpiece elsewhere, but my shoes were included in the price of my gown so that was a plus. They don't have anyone who does alterations in the shop, so I had to go elsewhere to have that done and it would be nice to have it all together there. They were very good about following up with me and letting me know when to expect my gown to come in. I really recommend going here!
My husband went to Montelongo's to look for my engagement ring, and they ended up working with him to come up with a one of a kind design. They were very flexible and really listened to his ideas and the on site jeweler made my ring by hand in the shop. We also had my wedding band custom made there so they would fit together perfectly. They had to keep my engagment ring for a while to design the band, so that was kind of a bummer, but they tried really hard to keep it for only the necessary time. They also will clean both of my rings whenever I want for free which is great!
