I had my wedding here on December 10, 2006. I thought it was a great location - very unique. The staff was sometimes frustrating to communicate with (thus the three stars), but overall I would highly recommend Castle Green. My pictures came out beautiful - just a lovely and unique location capturing the charm of Pasadena. Castle Green responded with the the following comments: Hello Leslie! I am very sorry you had a bad response in terms of communication. At the time (towards the end of 2006) there were a few changes made in our staff, some leaving, and new ones coming on board -- as well as new job descriptions. We have now finalized these changes and can easily accommodate all your needs within our present staff. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience. We hope to hear from you soon!
Duxbury's catered my December 10 wedding at Castle Green in Pasadena, CA. They did an outstanding job. Their staff was friendly and helpful - constantly went out of their way to help my guests (and my parents!). The food was delicious, and they gave us a very reasonable estimate for the cost of the reception food. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Outstanding... very professional... a pleasure to work with.

Kathleen Clark is an extremely talented photographer. She shot my wedding in December in Pasadena, and the photographs are absolutely beautiful. She is a pleasure to work with - totally down to earth and friendly. She was very accommodating throughout the engagement/wedding process, and she could not have been better. She also has a very reassuring and calming spirit, which was very valuable during the wedding day. Her staff at KCP Studios was also very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Katie also does beautiful photography of babies and children. When we were looking at her work, she showed us some albums of women with their children - absolutely priceless. I hope I am lucky enough to have her shoot my babies someday!
Ixora Florist in Pasadena recently did my December 10 wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and Lisa Cardella was a pleasure to work with. I talked to at least 3 florists in the Pasadena and Burbank area, and Lisa was my first choice by a landslide. She gave me a very reasonable quote, and she was very professional. She listened to what we wanted, and then came up with something even more beautiful than I had imagined.
It was a rare drizzly day in LA, so my coordinator and I had decided to do the wedding inside. Lisa strongly urged my husband to make an "executive decision" to move the wedding outside, and he did. It turned out fabulous, and we didn't get hit by a drop of rain and the wedding was beautiful. She basically saved our wedding ambiance!
The flowers, of course, were absolutely amazing. She has such a professional artistic eye. I am so glad I chose her for my wedding, and I would recommend Ixora to anyone.
I got my 4-tiered wedding cake from Bee's Knees Bakery. The cake was gorgeous - exactly what I wanted and it was delicious. They were not the most professional communicators, but they got the job done. The cake was delivered on time and was perfect. I would recommend them to anyone - with the caveat that you have to bear with them on communication sometimes.
Imagine Productions just shot my wedding in December in Pasadena. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. Geoff and Jennifer make an awesome team, and they are so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
We just received our completed video, and they did a phenominal job. I'm so surprised at all the footage they got, and I don't even remember seeing the cameras around much. That's the sign of a great videographer - an excellent video capturing every moment, when you never even knew they were there.
Melody Walker was the coordinator for my wedding in Pasadena, CA on December 10, 2006. She did an absolutely amazing job. Everything went very smoothly, and we did not have to worry about a single thing. She coordinated with our vendors, created a timeline for the day, assisted us with contracts, gave us tips on all aspects of the wedding, ran the rehearsal, assisted in decorating our site... she did everything! And the thing that I love about Melody is that it's like having an extra mother - but a mother who happens to be an expert in weddings! She was less like a drill sergeant (like some of the other coordinators we interviewed), and she really put her heart into our wedding. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Even now that it's a year after our wedding, she sent us a sweet Christmas gift. I hope to always stay in touch with her.
While she is located in Orange County, she also does weddings in the Los Angeles area and beyond.
