We are responding to your wedding cake review. You changed your design several times, could not commit to a design and also added a grooms cake 1 week before the wedding. The designs you picked were an additional charge and you didn't want to pay for that design. Your cake was not doubled in cost, by adding a grooms cake with a 3D dragon the cost of your cake would indeed increase. We even made the dragon three times the size of the price we quoted you. You also agreed to the price for the cake and the dragon. When we discussed the cost with you, you did not have any issues with it. We also contacted you SEVERAL times trying to get the details worked out for your cake and cupcakes which you could not decide on. We also contacted you after your wedding and you said everything went well and was fine. I don't know why you are now giving us a bad rating when we did everything you asked for. Everyone who was at the reception site during set-up also commented on the cake and cupcakes including the staff at Rose St. Market and the staff at Gilmore.
This was the best aspect of our wedding. Oh! Linda catering is 5 star all the way. Linda will help to create a perfect meal and give you tips for a smooth event along the way. The service at our wedding reception was perfection! We really appreciated the level of expertise and all at a reasonable cost. To say that all of our guests loved the food is an understatement.
Stephanie is great! She is creative, professional, and knowledgeable. We love the pictures she took of our wedding. I highly recommend her! She is willing to work within a budget which I really appreciate.
Angie is difficult to communicate with. She had trouble both understanding my needs and communicating her own. In the end my cake cost double what she had originally agreed to. The cake was excellent but in the end not worth all the trouble. This exchange was by far the worst associated with my wedding. Hanic's Cake Shoppe responded with the the following comments: Hello Lyndsay Germay, We are sorry you were not pleased with our services. We try very hard to please our customers. We do not understand why you never voiced any concerns in any of our email or phone contact with you. We also talked with you when you returned our stand and you said everything went great. If you would have voiced your concern about any issues, at any time, we would have done everything possible to correct the problem.
We realize you were working with a limited budget. We tried very hard to work with you on a style and design that would fit into your budget however you continued to choose designs that were more expensive than you were willing to pay. At that point we gave you the design options we could provide you and still stay within the budget for your cake. We are sorry if there was any lack of communication or understanding, we feel we did everything possible in contacting you and providing all the options to you through numerous emails and by phone.
We also provided a discount on your stand rental, we accommodated your last minute order for a detailed groom?s cake and even upgraded it at no additional charge. In addition, we waited at your reception site for over an hour with our delivery van running to keep your cakes from melting due to the extreme heat in the barn where your reception site was held. We also used extra items we brought to finish the grooms cake because you failed to provide the items you said you would leave for us at the reception site for the cake.
The total for your cake was not double your quote, your quote was based on the information given us at your consultation which was for less servings (your servings increased for the final cake), the quote also DID NOT include tax, delivery, design on cupcakes, grooms cake, premium flavors, etc., as those were not known at the time of your quote.
We loved Chuck's philosophy and attitude towards freedom of expression. I'm so glad we found him. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I feel that the cost for officiants is a little high, but they do conduct the most important part of your wedding day. I wish that I had gotten to know Chuck a little before the ceremony. It was a little weird to have a complete stranger perform the ceremony (We did not have a rehearsal). I think just one phone conversation would have helped to ease this feeling.

I can't possibly say thank you enough to Alicia who did my hair the day of my wedding. My hair has never looked more beautiful and probably never will! My maids and guests commented on how great my hair was. Not only did she create a wonderful hairstyle, she met my emotional needs that day. I was a little (haha) stressed out that morning and she was very sensitive and supportive. The hairstyle Alicia created was unique and well-suited to my particular face shape and attire. I have very fine hair and was a little worried it wouldn't hold, but it probably could have looked like that for a week it was pinned so securely and sprayed so well, yet it still looked soft and loose. She incorporated the flowers I brought along and is always enthusiastic.
