I found Christine after she saved the day at the wedding of my friend's sister: their first photographer bailed on them, and Christine came in with 45 minutes' notice and took hours of gorgeous photos.
Working with Christine was a wonderful experience that I can't say enough good things about. I've met few people with such a stellar combination of personal warmth, professionalism, and creative talent. It was a joy to plan with Christine, to take our engagement photos with her (she travelled to Austin with us so my fiancé and I could take photos on campus at UT, our alma mater!), and to share our wedding day with her. She's quick to get back to you via email and on the phone, and she'll always be straightforward with you: she'll never leave you hanging, and she tells you exactly what you get every step of the way.
Of all the photographers we looked at, Christine was the best value and the best photographer of all. What you get is extraordinary: you get two photographers for your wedding, a complimentary engagement photo, and all of your photos custom printed and bound for you. While some people might want to get their photos printed on their own and make their own wedding albums, I'm not that girl--I'd much rather have a professional help me make something that's truly high quality and truly beautiful.
As far as brides go, I was pretty low-maintenance. I'm the kind of girl who'll spend where it counts and skimp where it doesn't--and when it comes to your wedding photos, it's worth spending some money. This is the record of your celebration, and you want someone whose highest priorities are consummate professionalism, taking extraordinary photos, and preserving those memories in high-quality photo products. Christine is the best of the best, and I'm so grateful for her work.

Mary McCarthy at The Blooming Idea did the beautiful flowers for our cake, reception, and ladies' corsages. The flowers were gorgeous, and she had a wide variety of designs available. What most impressed me, though, was how she came through for us in the wake of Hurricane Ike. Our wedding was the weekend after the hurricane hit Houston, and she still managed to do all of the flowers for our wedding--even without power in her shop. She took the time when she had no power at home to call her wholesaler, arrange alternate transportation, and secure all of the flowers we ordered when most people were still running around town trying to find ice and gasoline. Best of all, the flowers looked exactly as we'd ordered and planned; if you hadn't watched the news or been there, you would never have suspected that there was any trouble expended in getting everything there in spite of the hurricane. Mary was a consummate professional and was truly a joy to work with. I was so grateful to have her on our team.

I had a good experience shopping for my dress at this location: the staff was helpful and it wasn't a high-pressure sales experience like I've had when shopping for bridesmaid's dresses at David's Bridal. I brought in a bunch of print-outs from the Alfred Angelo website of dresses I thought I would like. The saleswoman brought those dresses in for me to try, and she listened carefully as I described what I liked and disliked in each. After I'd tried on about six dresses and wasn't finding what I liked, she excused herself for a second, saying, "I think I have one you should try on." She came back with a beautiful dress I hadn't noticed on the website--it was the perfect combination of all the things I liked in the other dresses, and it was a great fit for my figure. This was the dress I bought for my wedding, and I absolutely loved it and looked great in it. I was thrilled to have such great service and such a fun experience. My mom and I had a blast shopping for my dress, and I'm so grateful to the people at Alfred Angelo for making that happen.

Unfortunately, my bridesmaids had a tougher time with buying their dresses here. The sizes are pretty wonky and it takes forever for the dresses to come in, and they're pretty pricey for what you get. They're way flattering and the colors are gorgeous, but if I had to do it again, I think I would have gone with the J Crew Wedding Shop online for the bridesmaids' dresses.

I ordered my invitations and my save-the-date cards from Wedding Paper Divas, and I was thrilled with the results. They've got great products in a wide variety of colors and styles, and I had a lot of great choices. I loved the proofing process; the proofs come to you FAST, and the on-staff designers have wonderful attention to detail in terms of layout and corrections to invitation wording to fit Emily Post-quality etiquette. I also loved the coupons and offers I got from the website after I started an account with them: I ordered my save-the-date cards one month and ordered the invitations at another time, and I managed to get a 10% off coupon for each. This was a great way to get really beautiful, high-quality stationery on a budget. Go to the site. You'll fall in love.

I bought my hairpiece from this shop and loved it: it was a four-inch by two-inch clip covered in white rhinestones that cost only $24. Everything in this shop was a great value, and I was thrilled to find this little shop.
