Hi Kimberley,
Thanks for the thorough review of Westlake Village Inn. I am searching for venues and right now Westlake Village Inn is at the top of my list. I am thinking of having it at the Fairway Room and was scared that my guests wouldn't be able to have a cocktail reception until I saw your review which stated that you had a cocktail reception at the Provence Terrace. I am not sure where the terrace is on the property, but I contacted WLVI and they confirmed that there is a terrace available to parties who use the Fairway Room. Anyhow reading your review was a blessing to me - thank you and congratulations to you and your husband on your recent wedding!

Westlake Village Inn Westlake Village, California 91361
I just had my wedding at the Westlake Village Inn and it was the best experience I could have possibly had. The whole Catering and Sales department was fantastic, helping us get everything together down to the very last detail. We had a day-of coordinator, Ann-Marie, who was by my side all day, and Jeannie was with me from the moment we booked the venue to seconds before I walked down the aisle. The grounds are beautiful and couldn't have made for a better ceremony site. I highly recommend the Tuscan Gardens. We had a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres at the Provance Terrace, and had our reception in the Fairway Room. Everything was perfect. The staff worked with my vendors and everyone was on time and completely professional. All I kept hearing all night, and still to this day, was about how amazing the hotel rooms were, how beautiful the grounds are, and how good the food was. I can't wait to see my pictures!!
We also had our rehearsal dinner in the Wine Cellar on the night before the wedding and it also went perfectly. The room was beautiful and the food was extra tasty.
I can honestly say that I had a perfect wedding experience, and I have everyone at the Westlake Village Inn to thank for that.
Jackie Combs Floral Design Burbank, California 91502
I cannot say enough about how beautiful the flowers and centerpieces were at my wedding. Everything was gorgeous, and more amazing than I could have possible imagined. Jackie took our color palette and design ideas and ran with them, creating some of the most unique and beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. We really wanted something different and special for our wedding, and Jackie came up with brilliant suggestions that have definitely set our wedding apart from any other we've attended. Flowers really do make the wedding special, and mine couldn't have been any better.
I highly recommend Jackie for any floral arrangements you might need. Jackie Combs Floral Design responded with the the following comments: Hi Kimberley! Thank you so much for the great review! I'm so pleased that your wedding was everything you had hoped for and I wish you all the best for your new married life! I can't wait to see your pictures!! xo
I found Joeleen on the internet and not only did she come through with a beautiful and delicious wedding cake, but she also recommended her friend who's a florist and she was amazing, too!
The cake looked exactly the way we wanted it, and tasted even better than it looked. There were no unhappy guests at my wedding, and not a single sliver of cake left at the end of the night.
I highly recommend Joeleen and A Sweet Design for any cake you might need. Her quality, service and prices are unbeatable.
The ONLY decent thing I have to say about David's Bridal is that at least the dresses are relatively inexpensive. Besides that, I'd never ever recommend them to anyone. During the alterations for my wedding dress (with a different seamstress, not at David's) we discovered that the inside skirt was sewn in backwards and the seam was facing out instead of towards the inside, which was causing obvious lines through the material. The seams of the out-most layer of organza were cut very roughly, too, and rough edges poked out through the material causing irritation and red marks on my arms. Basically, to FIX the problems with the construction of the dress, before it was even altered with the 2 tiny darts it needed to fit me perfectly, cost MORE than the dress did when I bought it. The bridesmaids dresses were fine and were delivered on time, but the process of trying on and buying the dresses was pretty horrible. They don't have everything in the sample colors, so you have no idea what the color combination you think you want is going to look like. They are completely under-staffed and it took over 2 hour for 3 girls to try on and buy the dress we already knew we wanted. And they try to get you to order a dress that's a size too big so that you have to alter it and pay them more money. My sister also had a horrible shoe-dying experience at the David's in Vegas. They were spotty the first time, black instead of brown the second time, and the strap broke on her third pair.
I found Mario from Kewlkewl Prroductions on the internet and we worked out the details over email with ease. I am pleased to say that the outcome has exceeded my expectations. He was very professional and worked for 5 hours shooting the wedding, capturing wonderful footage of the ceremony, our guests at cocktail hour, and the reception with all of it's special moments from the speeches to the first dance. I almost didn't hire a videographer, but changed my mind at the last moment, and can honestly say that finding Mario was the best stroke of luck I had, vendor-wise. Pictures will be beautiful and will tell a certain part of the wedding story, but the video I have, thanks to Mario, will be forever cherished as my most favorite wedding memory.
