we're getting married on november 1st (365 days after we met, we met on november 2nd, but it was a leap year so yeah )
we're having the ceremony at my church Grace Lutheran Church that i've been going to since i was in 3rd grade
chris is roman catholic and i'm a conservative lutheran so we're having a pretty tradition lutheran ceremony, which is really weird since we're both really big goofballs... hopefully we don't fall asleep at the alter :-)
and then we're having our reception at the Holiday Inn , its actually pretty new and its really nice... the sales director there has been very helpful, and because chris is a marine and her husband is a retired marine, she's been giving us discounts and is even working overtime to help us out
our wedding has a dash of "french" themeness to it, chris is from louisiana and is cajun french.. .. we're having fluer de lis statues as our centerpieces and little fluer de lis all over the wedding cake... and our favors are going to be beignet mix... its the french doughnut made popular by cafe du monde in new orleans
we've really been very blessed when it comes to planning this wedding... the only thing we're having trouble with is my church .. we're getting a new pastor... and the new choir direcotor / organist doesn't start working until after our wedding so we don't have an organist yet...
but every other aspect, the location, the cake, the dress, the photographer, the dj have all been extremely easy :-)
planning a wedding isn't hard work, and i'm really enjoying this :-)

they are amazing!!!! every one is very accommodating. the only complaint i have is that it took a long time to get dinner served and then it was taken away real quickly... meals were taken away from guests who weren't at their seats, even if they were just in the bathroom. and then after dinner, the wait staff dwindled down from like 10 to 2, so it took awhile to get non-alcoholic drinks. i would recommend them to anyone looking for a smaller, more intimate space that is affordable. the food is sooooo good!! :-) and the hotel is CLEAN! you don't have to give up luxury for this location
Silvana & Chris (and their assistant) we're amazing... they blended in with the church at the ceremony as to not disturb the ceremony they followed our requests and even took suggestions from us of what we wanted and made it work and at the reception that stayed mobile getting shots from everything, the only time they were noticed was when we did planned shots... awesome awesome awesome , and everyone loves them!!!
it was fun designing our cake with Debbie... and the final product looked better than i could have imagined, and the cake seemed to taste better than when we did our tasting very impressed!
they have a great selection for brides and bridal party at a better price than boutiques but it seemed once they sold us the dress they didn't care anymore and they were supposed to ship my bridesmaid's dress to us b/c she moved, they charged me for the next dayshipping but 10 days later it still hadn't left the store, my bridesmaid's dress got to us 4 days before the wedding and didn't have time to alter it. i would not recommend them.
ron is great!!! he checked up with us the week before the wedding to go over everything. he showed up well before time, and his equipment was clean professional, and he looked professional. he had everything set up, talked to us when we arrived at the reception and waited for us to get ready. he followed the timeline i gave him but if i wanted to change something he did it right when i asked. and he knows our photographer already so they worked well together. definitely a-plus work
jonathan was great and showed us the limos in person before we booked they showed up on time and the limo was clean. the limo driver was nice. and we put in a last minute stop so we could get outdoor pictures in and he was completely ok with it. only complaint is from the business side, they charged our holding fee (which was the cost of the limo) and the charged for the limo at the same time ... so if we didn't have enough money in our acct, it could have bounced or we could have been charged an over draft fee Nationwide Limo Service/Nationwidecar.com responded with the the following comments: Glad you enjoyed it.
