I can't wait to see how beautiful you are going to look in your wedding dress, and Tony I can't wait to finally meet you after all these years. I love the both of you!
We are in the middle of a chrisis with this venue. When my friend got married and had her reception here a year ago, everyhting was flawless and beautiful. Mine however was not. Their communication with their clients is not the best. I live out of state and the tax went up for a second time in 2008 and I was not notified that the cost of the plate per person had gone up so I was not prepared for this. My wedding cake was not matched to the color sample I brought in so I was devistated over that. We just had so many problems with this venue was very disappointing to me. It was not at all accomidating to a winter wedding. The building was freezing cold and I had several guests leave before dinner due to the freezing cold temperature.
Hope Christian Reformed Church Oak Forest, Illinois
This church is nice in the fact that you do not have to be a member of the church. The Pastor does not allow live photography during the ceremony and that was inconvenient to us because we needed to find someone who did allow that. The cost was okay. But the church itself was much smaller than I remembered it to be when I first picked it. It was large in size being wide but there is a big organ in the center of the back of the church and makes it very difficult for a middle isle to be made.
Chicagoland photobooth was amazing. Definitely the hit of my entire wedding. They were fantastic with keeping in touch with me over the wedding details and they were just really nice and fun to be able to work with. I would recommend them to anyone having a wedding. It was a blast and it was so much fun to see all the pictures that turned out!
Alex (The photographer) was fantastic. He was so easy to work with and all of my guests loved him. He was pleasant and accomidating to all my guests and their requests as well as mine. He took so many candid photographs it was amazing. The pictures all came out beautifully and he was very prompt with his pictures. He really helped things run smoothly with all the chaos that took place the day of. He even went out and picked up a projector and screen for our wedding when the one we had rented fell through. Alex is awesome and his work is phenominal. I would recommend him to anyone who needed a photographer. Check out his webpage www.goykphoto.com and click on wedding photography....mine is the martinez 11-21-08
you will be so impressed.
Thank you Alex for helping to make our wedding day so great and for capturing all the wonderful memories!!
I was really happy originally when we picked this Reverend to marry us. There was a lack of communication on my part because my computer broke 2 weeks before the wedding date. The rehearsal did not go as smoothly as I would like but I had faith that seeming as he has been doing this for a long time that it would not be a problem the actual wedding day. The wedding day was very hectic and I had so many things go wrong. I ended up being late for my own wedding....I take full responsibility for this...
However, I was horrified with his sermon. My entire ceremony was over in 15 minutes or less. When he spoke he stumbled over his words and sounded very nervous. The worst part is that when we were announced as mr. and mrs. He pronounced us as Mr. and Mrs. my name (wife's name) instead of my husbands. That was really awful and I was very upset.
He came to the reception as he was invited. However I was not happy with him at all. He asked if he could give grace...I said that would be fine but once he got the microphone he carried on longer than our ceremony went and people were trying to eat (it was running behind because my DJ didn't show). I had several guests very offended by some of the things he said during his speech which was very unnecessary to begin with. Overall I would not recommend him to anyone, unless of course you are looking to have the same outcome as we did.
Bottom line people, you get what you pay for. Wedding Chapel Reverend responded with the the following comments: All that I will say about this wedding is this. This couple had everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Without getting into details, I respect their privacy, I will say this. The vows were written by me, editted by the bride and presented with his and her blessing. I did this wedding for $50.00. This is something that I normally do for Military Members. I do not write custom vows for soldiers, I don't do elaborate ceremonies for that fee either. Military ceremonies take about fifteen minutes. I gave them almost 8 hours for the $50.00 fee. I am sorry for the results of this wedding, but there are much greater issues at work here. My prayers are with this couple and wish them well in their future.
