Very convenient and you get a lot for your money. Parking, security, tables, chairs, easy sound system hookup (Band, DJ or iPod/Computer) and staff supervision are all included. It is also in walking distance of at least two hotels. We had both the ceremony and the reception here, the former in the garden and the latter in the large ballroom. They lose a star for flexibility for things such as having to choose a pre-approved caterer (list of 13), not letting you decorate the walls/ceiling or throw birdseed or have flowergirl drop petals, etc. Also be sure to double check if you want music to be played outside, you may need special permission and to rent more equipment.
The food was excellent and our contact was very responsive and professional. They were even willing to prepare an off menu recipe that we requested. The only complaint was that an appetizer we did not order was included, a shrimp dish at a Jewish wedding! Kind of a big deal since my husband and some of his family keep kosher, but everything else was perfect.
Billy (and his assistants) were the best! He is a true artist and you will truly be getting what you are paying for to the penny, and trust me, you don't want to skimp on the photographer. The photographs were gorgeous and reflected the energy of the day. He is also very personable and will make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. He was also a good confidante when I needed a pep talk during the craziness of the day. His style is very rock n' roll and maybe not for those with boring or conventional tastes. We are eagerly awaiting the custom photo album he is making for us! Highly recommended!
Very professional and willing to work with us to get what we really wanted. The arrangements were simple and elegant. We were very concerned about environmental impact. They used local flowers and were also willing to use my mother's hydrangea from her yard instead of shipping in flowers from far away. They were also happy to transport the centerpieces to a nearby nursing home in memory of departed loved ones the next day. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Patterson!

We loved our delicious and beautiful wedding cupcakes! We got to test quite a few flavors beforehand and settled on an assortment of red velvet, oreo, coconut snowball and lemon blueberry. The mini sugar flower decorations were works of art. The price was a downright steal compared to other bakeries and he even threw in a small cake for us to cut, as well as coming in on his day off (Sunday) to set them up at the reception! Highly recommended!
The squad plays with a modern twist on Klezmer, Balkan and Gypsy music, which was perfect for our unconventional Jewish/Unitarian wedding! The band played us in after the cocktail hour to a song they learned especially for us, the Throne Room Finale from Star Wars! They then played a Gypsy number for me to belly dance to before going into Hava Nagila for the traditional Jewish Hora dance! We all danced like crazy to the beautiful lively music, before dinner when the band played some mellower numbers. They were a bit a hard to reach right before the wedding, but everything turned out absolutely perfect! They could have even gotten away with charging us more for the excellent performance!
Claire helped my husband and I craft an Interfaith ceremony that was everything that we could have possibly wanted. She was also a grounding and professional presence during the ceremony, which was, of course, an overwhelming and emotional experience for the two of us. We highly recommend her services.

Daphne was wonderful to work with. She was willing to come to my parent's home for both the trial and before the wedding. She was also willing to work on a Sunday, which was surprisingly hard to find. Her prices were extremely reasonable and I appreciated that she did not charge the same price for the trial and for the wedding day. Most importantly, her work was fantastic. She made me look and feel beautiful, both my hair and make up were elegant and natural looking. No crunchy hair or tons of eyeshadow! Two thumbs up!

Colleen did a wonderful job in decorating the entire wedding party with beautiful henna body art! She was able to flawlessly work with both handmade stencils and freehand design. She helped us find Sephardic Jewish designs to represent my husband's heritage (henna art is a longstanding Jewish wedding tradition) to combine with Celtic designs to represent my heritage. She was also willing to travel an hour and half to Charlottesville from Richmond. Highly Recommended!

One of the BEST decisions I made while planning my wedding was to book a massage right before! I offered to schedule my husband-to-be one, but he didn't see the point. Boy, did he regret it! I was calm and relaxed all weekend, especially on the big day. Very little phased me and I am usually *very* prone to stress and anxiety. I got a classic massage with Emily, which was for one hour and she did an excellent job. She and the rest of the staff were very nice and professional. Massages are usually expensive, but if given a do over I would go to Oasis again. The only cheaper alternative I can think of is a clothed Shiatsu massage in a chair (not offered at Oasis I believe) which is also very good, but I don't know that the effects would be as lasting.

The owner worked with us closely to create custom wedding bands out of our own recycled gold. He was very kind, honest and thoughtful in helping us create them. My wedding band was specially designed to fit around my engagement ring, which had been purchased at an estate sale. The rings turned out beautifully and we were very happy with the overall experience. Highly recommended!
