My husband and I had our ceremony & reception in The Conservatory and it was absolutely beautiful.

Carlos our event planner was great but sometimes hard to get a hold of. It was also a bit confusing since we were told by Carlos that a Timothy would be our maître d' but then found out by our DJ right before the ceremony that our maître d' was Oscar. Now Oscar was great and extremely attentive to our needs until we started reaching the end of the night when he became a bit pushy due to the fact that the Ceremony started late due to the terrible weather conditions but they were still pushing to end the party at the time we originally thought it would if we started on time. Oscar was so pushy he even placed himself in front of us while we were cutting the cake so he can hurry us along which resulted him in being in all our photos during the cake cutting. I even found out after the fact that they told my DJ to stop playing music at around midnight when our contract stated that reception would last till 12:30 am and when my husband asked Oscar about it he was told that "they never have wedding's so late" and needed to wrap things up which annoyed us since we wanted our DJ to continue playing music in the background as everyone was leaving so it would have been nice if they talked with us a little more to discuss the plan instead of going straight to our vendor. We were also told that all our custom made items that we had made for the reception would be delivered to our room only to realize the next day that our personalized floor decal was missing. We left a message for Carlos since we paid a great deal of money for the decal and after several days we received a voice mail that the decal was most likely "tossed out"...very sad especially since we gave Oscar a very very very nice tip and he promised that everything would be taken care of. :o( The only thing that did cheer us up was Carlos telling us that he heard our wedding was "The Bomb"!!! Now that comment alone turned our frowns upside down. Kudos to you Carlos! :o)

But overall this place was amazing for the amount of money we spent. Even though there were a few bumps in the road (which is expected when planning such a detailed wedding) we were still completely satisfied with how things turned out. Our guests were happy and the food was delicious. Our cake was perfect and Carlos did make sure that it looked exactly like how we described. The transformation from the ceremony to the reception was flawless and The Victorian Room where the cocktail hour was held was just perfect. And at the end of the night when we went back to our complementary bridal suite we found a bottle of the white wine we were drinking all night waiting for us with two glasses...the perfect touch to end our amazing night. Thumbs up to The Madison Hotel!!! :o)

Bravo Laurie!!! The decor for our ceremony was timeless and the black linens along with the centerpieces for our reception were a huge hit!!! All of our guests loved the centerpieces so much people were literally snatching them off the tables at the end of the night along with the very cool "pool" colored rocks! I was fortunate to grab one centerpiece before they all went out the door but felt bad that my sister didn't get one so of course I gave it up to my big sister, hopefully the photographer took some snap shots of the tables cause everything was just perfect, exactly how we discussed and exactly how I envisioned everything to be!

Laurie even decorated my cake with the coolest ribbon ever made!!! And when the workers at the reception hall decided to throw our custom made aisle runner telling her to take care of it, even though they were responsible for putting it up, Laurie put the runner down without any complaint! I really couldn't have asked to work with someone who was not only extremely professional but treated me as a friend and worked with me through every detail to make sure my husband and I were completely satisfied. I can't thank you enough! Kudos to Laurie! Oh and lets not forget Laurie's assistant Renee, she was always right on top of things and made sure to keep in constant contact with me on every change and detail (and believe me there were a quite a few changes hahaha)...all I know is if anyone asks me if I know a great florist I am directing them to Laurelwood Designs, the most beautiful and artistic arrangements this happy bride could have ever asked for! :o)

Jessie Blum created a beautiful ceremony for my husband & I...the personalized love story she wrote for us made us both cry during our ceremony. Anyone who decides to have her perform their own ceremony will be 100% satisfied. Thank you so much for making our day extra special! :o)
