This venue was more than willing to accommodate me when they realized that I lost money by the closing of another venue that I had previously booked. I was out of town so they worked directly with my wedding planner. when I met the staff 3 weeks before our wedding day, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this venue!!!

I remember when I walked into the reception and saw the cake for the 1st time...it took everything in me to hold back the tears and disappointment I felt in attempt not to cause a scene in front of my guest.

My fiance and I had been out of the state up into 3 weeks prior to our wedding, so when we returned we had a lot to do in a short amount of time to pull our wedding together. I had made arrangements with Roslyn to drop off my final payment at a certain time only to receive another call from her stating that she was worried if our check would clear or not. I was extremely offended since our first payment cleared without a problem.

Our cake arrived late to the venue and was not the cake that was designed at the time of booking her services. We ordered a 5 tier cake and the cake we received was a much smaller scale than we expected. My bridal cake did not look like the picture Roslyn drew and she admitted to us after the wedding that she was disappointed in the appearance of the cake herself. My wedding colors were bold: deep purple and bright fuchsia. I gave Roslyn a copy of my invitation so she could have an exact match. The ribbon colors on the cake I received were soft pastel pink and soft lavender. We were told that we would have fondant damask on the sides of the cake but it was all butter cream. This was definitely not what I expected it to look like and definitely not what I paid for.

The groom's cake came out great! It actually looked better than the bridal cake.

After the wedding I called Roslyn regarding the cake I paid for and the cake I received. I asked to be reimbursed for the briadal cake. She told me that she wouldn't do that but promised to give me a replacement cake to feed 50 people for my 1st year anniversary. That is 4 months away. I didn't receive anything in writing form her so hope we get it!!!

First off, let me say: I was not late with the cake and that the bride relied on someone else to order her cake. I only meet the bride a week before the wedding and the cake was already designed. The bride had nothing to do with the designing of the cake, so she wouldn't have known the actual size of the cake. The final payment was late which was a concern. The cake ordered was in buttercream and at the time of order I told her planner it wouldn't look as good as fondant due to the design, however cost was a concern. And yes I was not happy with the look of the cake, but due to budget issues they wanted a damask cake which should be done in fondant, which is what I suggested. When it comes to my customers I work to create works of art and if I'm happy then I know you will be happy. And because I wasn't happy with the look I did promise her a cake for her anniversary in fondant. I own a honorable high quality bakery which delivers beautiful and great tasting cakes to everyone of our customers.

DJ-Lewis did a fantastic job!!! He came highly recommended by my planner. I was a little reluctant about hiring someone I didn't know personally. Everything was great. The dance floor stayed crowded. You won't be disappointed with his services. He also handled our event lighting and gobo. It really set the mood for a romantic evening. It will be a night you'll never forget.

I couldn't have pulled my wedding day together without Chic Soiree. Right after Hurricane Ike, my fiancee and I moved out of state to Florida. The week we arrived in Florida, we were informed that the venue we had previously booked to host our wedding had closed. At that point, I didn't know what we would do. Mrs. Patrick assured me everything would be ok. She took over and arranged EVERYTHING over the phone and computer. She found us a new venue, as well as all the other vendors we needed. She had to be my eyes for me because I wasn't in town to meet with vendors myself. I returned to Houston 3 weeks prior to my wedding day. I will never forget when I saw my wedding site for the very first time, I was so grateful that she had selected everything perfectly to suite my taste. I will be forever indebted to her. Chic Soriee made my wedding day everything I dreamed and more. Its so funny... every now and then when my husband and I bump into our guest they are still ranting and raving about how wonderful everything was. They are correct...IT WAS FABULOUS!!!!!
