We have a WOW we are really meant to be together story.
I met my now husband at a local country bar/dance club in December 2005. We fell in love within 2 weeks and after meeting his family I just knew this was it. He was it. He was the one. We had been dating about 2 weeks when he finally had the chance to meet the one sister of mine he hadn't met yet. (I have 3) When he saw her and her husband he looked over at me and said, "I know your sister and I know you too! Remember the lake?" And he didn't have to say anymore because I knew what he was talking about. About 2 years earlier I went to the lake with my sister. This group of guys pulled up in a boat and tied up with us. This one guy kept looking at me and smiling. And finally he came and talked to me for maybe all of 5 minutes before he and his friends had to go. He saw my sister the next weekend and asked where I was. He kept bugging my sister about when I was coming back. But I had a boyfriend, who wasn't the greatest. But one weekend I went again hoping he would be there and he wasn't.
Then there we were, 2 years later meeting again. We had dated for 2 weeks and already fell in love when we found out we had actually met 2 years before then! How exciting is that?
Our Planning Experience
We planned a beautiful wedding in 7 months. I loved every aspect of it. My friends/family could not believe how calm I was through everything, especially when we were also buying our first home together.
Our Advice
Enjoy the day. Soak it all up. Enjoy every moment. You wait your whole life to find that special someone and get married. And then your wedding day is gone in an instant. Don't stress just enjoy it all.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous. It will take your breath away. The interior of the building is so beautiful with so much detail. We were unclucky because there was some construction going on outside for the riverwalk and there are fences and work trailers in the background of our trailers. But that cannot be helped. The Pearl Stable is an amazing place. The bad thing is their customer service. They did not show up for appointments. And it took numerous calls and messages to get them to return your call. But once you did get a hold of them they were pleasant and helpful.
Wow is Deborah talented! She did such an amazing job on our engagement pictures and my bridal portaits. I've only got a sneek peak of a few wedding pictures but they are gorgeous! She drove way out of her way in order to go to the places we wanted to take pictures at. She was fun, creative, and had great ideas on poses. Her style is elegant and fun, she really catches the beauty of everything. I could not have asked for more out of my photographer.
Debbie is amazing!! All of the planning of our wedding was so easy because Debbie is so professional. We had no stress because she knew just what to do and what vendors to use. There is no way we could have planned this beautiful of a wedding without her. The flowers that she put together were just gorgeous, all of the centerpieces were beautifully done, and all of the bouquets were just awesome. I cannot say enough about Debbie and Event Creations. They went above and beyond to make this day the happiest day of our lives. We could not have asked for more. I highly recommend using Event Creations for your wedding or any event. They do a tremendous job!
My wedding cake was beautiful and it was delicious! I love The Cake Shop because they can do buttercream frosting or fondent, or both. The groom's cake was chocolate and probably the best cake I've ever had, and I don't usually like chocolate all that much. My cake came out exactly how I wanted it, but was even more beauitful. The writing on the groom cake was a little messy, I expected it to look more perfect. And The Cake Shop forgot to bring us a box to put the top tier in to take home with us. So we had to figure out another way. But overall I would highly recommend them, the cakes looked good and tasted even better.
Jim is exceptional! The work he does is really breathtaking. I looked at other videographers and their work looked really cheesy to me. But Jim's videos are works of art. They are timeless. They are beautiful. He is so talented. He used a very small camera at the wedding and we barely even noticed he was there. He was a pleasure to work with and he was worth every penny!

Wow did Kellie do an amazing job! She personally did hair and make-up for 4 bridesmaids and me, the bride. She does them quick but she does them beautifully. She did everyone's hair/make-up and then touch ups right before all in less than 5 hours. I am still getting compliments on how gorgeous everyone looked. I did not have an exact request for hair, I told her to just make it look good. And she made everyone look awesome. I have had many up do's in my life but never one this gorgeous. We all looked like we could be an advertisement in a magazine, we looked beautiful and classic. The make-up was beautiful too, so perfect.
They did a beautiful job on my engagement ring and our wedding bands. My husband's band was customer made by him. My only complaint is when I went to pick up his ring they didn't do everything exactly the way he wanted. But he said he liked it anyway so we didn't say anything. The people were nice and very helpful. Of course when my husband first went to pick out an engagement ring he didn't think about a wedding band to fit with it. So when it came time to find a wedding band that would go well with it they were super helpful. My husband has also purchased jewelry for me for other occasions and they are always beautiful!
I loved the idea of a photobooth. But make sure you ask what size you are getting and what the screen is like inside the booth. When you walked into the booth there was no screen, just a large square. It randomly flashes 4 times with no warning, so you have no idea when the picture is about to be taken. My planner was told this booth is much better than the ones you see in the mall, that is definitely not true. The employee who stayed with the booth was not friendly and unhelpful. Most people had no idea there was a scrapbook to put their photos in. At the end of the evening the scrapbook was just a bunch of plain loose white papers, most of them had photo strips that were falling off. I had hoped it would have looked a lot better and there would have been some direction on what guests should do. But the pictures did turn out nice. Except when they started to run out of ink at the end of the night. All the photos that are taken go up on their website within a week, which is awesome. And when you look at the photos on the website you can see that they are of high quality. I would recommend TNT, just make sure you know exactly what you are getting.
