Ilene with Dish in a Dash was amazing!!! She was so helpful and sweet and really listened to all my catering needs. She kept checking with me to make sure everything was going wonderfully with my wedding plans, and tried to keep me from freaking out too much.
She offered different suggestions, menus, etc. She was able to get us a great menu for not too much money. And the portions were huge!!! We had an afternoon wedding so we just offered mostly fruit and appetizers. Our menu was: fresh fruit with two dippies, brie with peach chutney, assorted quiches, and assorted sandwhiches. The displays were beautiful! The only problem was that the chocolate sauce for the fruit was burned by having the fondu pot on too high without a proper cover, so we had to throw out the chocolate sauce, and the fondu pot itself.
Everyone went on and on about how beautiful and yummy the food was!!! We left the plethora of left overs (because the portions were so big we ended up having a lot left) in the fridge for the college students to munch on! I didn't want anything to go to waste. :)
After talking with Dax and finding out that he and his wife already had a wedding to shoot on the day of my wedding, he told me of Jen Kolb who he's worked for in the past. She is suchhhh a lovely lady! She was very responsive to emails and was a joy to talk to on the phone the morning of the wedding. She knew exactly what I was wanting (more photojournalistic rather than posey posey pictures) and was able to take the most beautifullll shots of my husband and me, our family and friends, everything! She was absolutely amazing!!! She promptly got our photos to Dax who did wonderfullll retouching and gave us an incredibly site for our friends and families to view all the pictures! In addition, every package they offer includes the rights to the photos! So you can make as many copies as you want as often as you want! And their photo albums are gorgeous!! I can't wait to come up with the money to have them make one for us! Their site is beautiful and easy to navigate. They were all such a pleasure to work with. I highlyyyy recommend them to anyone needing beautiful, unique wedding and engagement pictures! Yay!!! Everyoneee loved Jen and just kept going on about how great and unobtrusive she was, and they've all raved about the pictures and the website.
After visiting another Publix and having a horrific experience, we went to another Publix in Conyers/Covington and the woman there was wonderful! She listened to our horror story of the first store, apologized profusely, and really listened to what I envisioned for my wedding cake. The price was perfect, and the day of the wedding she and the store manager himself came out to deliver and set up the cake! it was gorgeous and sooooo yummy! I would definitely recommend Publix's bakery to any wedding couple, as well as for any baking needs! They're awesome!
I saw the dress that I wanted five years ago. And I said back then that if I ever got married again, that I would get that dress. Well, as you know, styles change and I was worried that the dress I had loved so many years ago wouldn't be available any longer. To my delight and surprise, the Oleg Cassini dress was still available, though limited in quantity, but luckily they had it in my size.. and on major sale!!! I got a 3000 dress for under 600! My consultant Merideth was so wonderful and sweet and helpful. She greeted me every time I went to the store, asking how my wedding plans were coming along and such. She truly made my dress buying experience pleasurable. I also got my slip, bustier, and shoes from them. I had my shoes dyed purple so that there would be a surprise underneath my dress! And they came out beautifully dyed! Yay!
For being a large chain rather than a small boutique, I had a very very good experience. Although the alterations were quite costly. I ended up spending like 300 dollars in alterations for a bustle and to have it taken up. Overall though, very good!
Tiffany and Johnnie (he was so quiet... I think that was his name though) were sooooo wonderful to work with! Tiffany was a joy to email back and forth with, and they both made our wedding day so special and spectacular! They were so much fun to talk to, and everyoneeee has raved at how polite and professional and funny they were! I can't wait to see the video when it's all done. My husband and I both knew we had to have them for our wedding videographers! We looked at many sample videos from other companies, but just fell in love with SCG! The price is quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of product you're receiving. I was so giggly and nervous and silly that day; Tiffany said there would be no problem finding enough footage for an "outtakes" section. :) They are sooo completely AWESOME!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for something different and unique and fun for your wedding day or other video needs. I cannot really even tell you just how spectacular they made my wedding day! squee!!!!
Rev. Brian Cookson was amazing!!! He was so personable, friendly, professional and wonderful! There aren't enough kind words in the English language to describe how comfortable and happy he made my husband and I on our wedding day! He helped us to pick out exactly what kind of ceremony we wanted with wonderful suggestions and personalization. And the day of the wedding he was all smiles! I could tell that he was really invested in us and of our big day! He even helped to calm this nervous and giggly bride. :) And I love that he provided us with a beautiful copy of our ceremony as a keepsake, as well as a pretty wedding certificate keepsake. Huzzah!
And his wife and daughter are both beautiful and lovely as well. They were of course a pleasure to have with us.
