This place is a hidden gem. Feels like a beach wedding without having to travel to the beach. It's so close to all the theme parky stuff (great for out of town visitors with families), but feels like you're miles away from everything. Kristin was wonderful to work with leading up to the event, very responsive and accessible. Shanna was great coordinating everything the day of. Guests couldn't stop raving about it - especially those who live in Central Florida and never knew the place existed. As far as overall value, it is pricier than some other venues we looked at, but the ability to purchase our own alcohol probably balanced that out. Plus, I loved being able to choose my own caterer. We did pay extra $$ for the bridal suite, boat shuttle and a fifth hour - it was expensive, but well worth it. Only two complaints: first, the boat shuttle got off to a late start, which is a big deal for a short event. Second, my brand new camera, filled with pics from the rehearsal dinner and pre-parties, disappeared from the bridal suite where I left it during the ceremony. Not pointing any fingers at anyone since plenty of people had access, but just make sure you have someone watching your valuables and make a solid plan about who will pack up what at the end of the night. Other than that, a fabulous choice. Many, many guests told me it was the best wedding they have ever been to!
Creations by Chef Aaron provided bartending services for my rehearsal dinner. We had planned to staff our own bar at first, but when those plans fell through, Creations by Chef Aaron came through quickly and at an excellent price. Our bartender, Willy, was professional, gracious and attentive. He was contracted simply to staff the bar, but went over and above the call of duty - running out to get more alcohol when our supply ran low, going table to table to take drink orders and serve drinks, and even helping with cleanup after the caterers left. I would definitely use them recommend their services to a friend.
Pure perfection - and a joy to work with, even with last minute budget changes and table additions. My wedding had a tropical/beachy theme, so I showed Lee photos from a similar wedding for inspiration. What he delivered that day completely blew away the examples and exceeded all of my expectations. Besides absolutely stunning bouquets and centerpieces, they got every little detail perfect, from the white carpet to the bamboo arch to the scattered gemstones on each table. It was a magnificent setting for our special day. They deserve 10 stars!
The cake Anna made for my wedding was absolutely perfect. I changed my mind on the flavors and design several times, and Anna was always willing to work with me to get it just right. The final product was absolutely gorgeous and delicious (all 4 layers and flavor combos). Guests couldn't stop raving about it. And I might just have to cut into that anniversary layer a bit early!
