Cathy’s service was great. We met with her in February and gave her a couple of pictures (one for the bridal bouquet and one for the reception tables). Both turned out perfect. Even adding the last minute boutonnière for the groom's grandfather was no problem. We also went in on Thursday before the Saturday wedding to ask about adding something under the pineapple candles on the bridal table and that turned out beautifully.

The contact person at the time, Karen, was great. Her background is in something like graphic arts. She loves colors. We first met her in February. We went over the color of purple we liked. Karen assured us there would be no problem. In late July when we placed the order, we picked the color of purple we wanted and Karen said she would go home and go through her color selection. She would then place it with the order that was sent on to Richmond. The purple on the cake turned out exactly as we had hoped. It turned out to be some of the best wedding cake we’ve eaten.

Had an appointment the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. The sales person was fantastic. We went through all the dresses in my size - picked out about 10. Tried on all even though #2 was "the one". The best part about this bridal salon is the fact that you take the dress with you. You don't order one and then have to wait for it to come in and hope the right one was ordered.

There are really no words to describe how much we appreciated Shayna's services. The only way I can describe Shayna is "priceless." She gave us so much, took care of every detail, and made a very important day in our family’s lives perfect.

This store (12551 Jefferson Ave., Newport News) is located almost across the street from the Newport News Airport. It’s located in a strip mall and for locating easily; there is a Panera Bread out in front of the strip mall. The fact that you can have your hair and makeup done by the same person is great. We were very fortunate to have Wilkys (I don’t know if that is her first or last name). The nice part is that the store carries multiple brands of makeup so the person who is applying your makeup can choose all different brands and you’re not limited to one type like you are at a department store counter. We went for a trial run in July for the September wedding and took pictures of the practice run hairstyle. Wilkys wrote down the makeup she used. The store does charge for a practice run. I think for makeup and hair the cost was around $85 for each visit.
