Every person at my wedding at La Venta said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The venue is a little pricey, but so worth it because the view, food, and service are amazing. Roxy was my coordinator, and I don't even have words to describe how wonderful she is. She helped with so many things that weren't part of her job in the planning and kept the night rolling and on schedule. My stepfather was in an accident a week before the wedding and couldn't travel to be there, so the people at La Venta set up skype so he could see the ceremony (thanks to Roxy, Mike, and Giorgio!). The only negative thing to say is that they are so popular, so they book other events and we had to work our rehearsal the day before around an event, and we couldn't get into La Venta to set up until an hour and a half before the wedding because of an event that morning. But it worked out for us.
I cannot say enough great things about Jen. She is an AMAZING photographer, affordable, and totally flexible. She shot our engagement and wedding photos and she did the best job! She doesn't give you a time limit or a frame limit like alot of other photographers. And did I mention that she is AMAZING!? I have tons of great photos to prove it and can't wait to get our wedding album! She has a blog and makes a slideshow to show your family and friends as well. I would say is the the best vendor we picked for our wedding and I'm so glad we did!
Janet of Greenwich Floral Design did all of the flowers for my recent wedding, and she did a beautiful job. Everyone commented on our centerpieces, my bouquet, and the other details she worked on. She worked very closely with me, did extra work and decor for me, and was always responsive and professional. I highly recommend her!
Amy and Jeremy Berman (owners of Vanilla Bake Shop) are so great! They gave us exactly what we wanted, a gorgeous cupcake tower filled with delicious cupcakes! They were our favorite bakery prior to getting engaged, so there was no question we had to have them. I'm happy to call Amy a friend now and can't say enough about them. Would HIGHLY recommend!
After finding my dream dress, and feeling like it was out of my price range and also just too much to pay for a dress ($5000) I found bride power. The owner described their services to me, and I described the dress I was looking for. Before I even paid the $50 fee, she called to tell me that she had just bought the dress in my size as a sample for stock in her store. That meant not only did I not have to pay the fee, I got the gown at 50% off retail! I got it and it was in almost perfect condition. I did have it altered, but I didn't even need to have it cleaned! I was in my dream dress, at half the price, and couldn't be happier.

Danny of NYC DJ's is da bomb! He is the best DJ ever. He doesn't "MC" and isn't cheesy at all, he knows what to play and stays away from the cliche wedding songs. If the bride doesn't want a song played and tells him, he won't play it (even if requested by a guest like the Electric Slide was at my wedding :) We referred Danny to other friends who were getting married and the guests at both their wedding and ours said he was the best DJ ever. You HAVE to have him as your wedding DJ. You will NOT regret it!
Bob was a perfect fit for our wedding ceremony. We really wanted to personalize our ceremony and stay away from the traditional or cliche things. He was totally on board with that. He kept the length of the ceremony perfect, spoke with great sincerity and personalization, and helped things run smoothly. Everyone commented on what a great job he did. I'm so glad we choose him as our officiant!
The people of Tour Coach were very helpful, responsive, and flexible. They provided the shuttle transportation for my wedding party and later my guests to the wedding location. They were on time, the bus was clean and cool, and the driver (George) was great! They even upgraded me to a nicer bus at no cost because it was a really hot weekend and they wanted to be sure the A/C was working properly for us. I would definitely recommend them!

The girls of Flawless Faces made me and my girls look just that on my wedding day, flawless! Tina did my makeup, and that of my maids and the moms, and she did a beautiful job. Rachael did our hair, and I cannot say enough great things about her. My husband LOVED it, and I'm a picky hair person and Rachael worked with me to get it just how I wanted it and it looked great and held up all night! The girls are also cool and fun to work with. I would totally recommend them to another bride!
The only negative I have is that when I booked and after I paid a deposit, Carina called and realized she had already booked a wedding for herself that day. She was super flexible and gave me a complimentary trial with Tina, but since I had already booked with Carina for makeup and Racheal for hair, I felt a little bit of pressure to remain booked (I mean, I wanted to book both services together if possible). It ended up working out, so it was fine in the long run.
The only other thing is that I had to communicate directly with Carina instead of the girls who were working with me the day of, and when our day of schedule changed a little a couple of weeks before the wedding, I communicated that to Carina and got a revised schedule for the day of. Either that was not communicated to the girls who were actually working on me, or there was some other miscommunication between them, because I was ready to go at 9 when I was told they would arrive, and they still believed the start time was 10. While we were all ready in time, not having that extra stress (not to mention a little extra sleep or time in the morning) would have been nice. I think they are so popular and busy that maybe something wasn't communicated clearly, and I would have felt better if I could have been in direct communication with Tina and Rachael directly instead of going through Carina, since she does her own weddings and also runs the business. But like I said, it all worked out and the girls made me look great! It was a very minor issue in an otherwise wonderful experience with them. I would definitely recommend them and work with them again in the future!!!

John Paul Kelley is the best jewelry salesman you could ever work with! We bought our engagement ring, and wedding bands from him. When I couldn't decide about my band, he gave us several options to look at, ordered from jewelry providers, etc. until we got it perfect. He is the best! You have to go visit him at Reuschleins!
