Hot Shots Photography (I'm not the same reviewer named Josh who made the other review, look at his bio.) Sounds very similar to my review though doesn't it? Tell you anything about Hot Shots' quality?

Our wedding was on June 24, 2007. We have encountered nothing but problems with Maelene at Hot Shots Photography. When she took the photographs at the wedding she was extremely unpleasant and rude to myself, my wife, and my guests. It took her 6 months to even post the photos on the online photo gallery. When we were actually able to view the photos we were unimpressed. The photos showed no skill and were utterly uninspired. We also noticed that her camera had malfunctioned and all pictures taken from a distance were blurry on the right half. I had family order photos and it took them 4 months to receive them. It took me 6 months to get my proofs from her even after we had paid our bill in full. She gave us a credit, but then I had to use my credit in January of 2009 to buy the copyright to all of the pictures from her at the cost of $500. When I received the Master disk of pictures they all had ID marks on the bottom. In turn, we had to crop the bottom 1/2" off of the photos. The ID mark consisted of a large purple rectangle with a label that contains our last name spelled incorrectly and random numbers, on EVERY PICTURE. When we asked her for pictures without the ID marks she confessed that she had lost our original photos and had to download them from her online albums. At this point (845 days as of writing) we have yet to receive a coffee table album that was paid in full long ago. I asked for a refund and she refused. She now ignores every contact I make with her including phone calls and emails. This is an accurate representation of the service we received even after upgrading to the "Platinum" package. She has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau (don't take my word for it, look it up) and we have found many others who have had a similar experience.

There is no reason that any professional photographer should lose photos due to a hard drive failure. That is completely unforgivable. Backups should be more important even than photography equipment as what good are the pictures if they are lost. If you don't have the know-how to set up backups/raid/etc. then hire a company who can.

If you (the reader of this review) value your wedding day and the memories associated with it, please consider another photographer. If you message me I can suggest one, but I will not list another photographer in this review. I'm sure that Maelene will have her hands full coming up with a witty response to this review as it now stands. Perhaps a phone call would be easier? Or better yet, our coffee table albums.

Excellent cake and decorations. There was a slight mix-up about the decoration of the cupcakes (we ordered cupcakes and a main wedding cake) but I believe it was just that...a miscommunication. The cake quality was fantastic. Be sure that the distance to Brookston will not be a problem as it is a solid 20 minutes from Lafayette.
