THIS VENUE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. If you want an outdoor ceremony this is the place to have your wedding. The scenery was so beautiful and the golf course in the back ground was so elegant and modern. I believe that the ceremony site might have been the most beautiful part of my wedding. honestly. The service was great. The prices for northern VA were very reasonable especially since the venue is so beautiful that you don't have to spend a lot of money decorating. The food was amazing... I usually hate catered food, but the food was excellent. Everyone gave us compliments on the food, the drinks, and how beautiful the venue was. If you have a family with a lot of smokers this venue is perfect because there is a large patio right outside the reception room so they don't have to really leave the party to feed their habit. Linda was absolutely awesome. I was on a limited budget and she was able to give me the flowers of my dreams and stayed in my budget. The flowers were so beautiful. They were the exact colors I wanted and the flower type I wanted. everything looked absolutely beautiful. I recommend Heaven on Earth Flowers to everyone for every event.

I should start of by saying for the style and size of our cake, Sue's prices are great. And if you are not particular or obsessive about how it looks she is a good choice. In our case I'm not a picky bride so I was ok with my cake. But I realized that the sugar flowers on were not the right colors and for that matter you could bearly tell that the sugar flowers were colored. They really looked white which worked out well for our color scheme. I have been told that the cake taste great. But I'm not a big fan of cake and I did not think it taste that great. But several guest stated that the cake was great.

Monica at Moni's Bridal Boutique was wonderful. I actually looked for my wedding dress by myself with now help from any friends are family so I can insure that I loved the dress and was not pressured to get anything I didn't want. And Monica was so helpful with picking out accessories and etc. She is a wonderful person and I will miss dropping by her shop during my lunch break to chat and try on my dress.

At the beginning it was somewhat difficult to get a hold of or get a response from him. But as the wedding approached his service was great. We love old school R&B and he specializes in that type of music. Our guest loved him. Also due to the death of Michael Jackson the week of our wedding we had him do a tribute of Michael's music. It was great we had a really great time.

Pastor Murphy was absolutely awesome. He provide us wonderful guidance during our couple consultations and reassured use that we were on the right path to a happy marriage. I did not book a Limo from ING Limousine, we booked a shuttle bus to transport the guests from the hotel to the venue and then back to the venue after the reception. And since you have to book the shuttle van for the whole event we also use the shuttle bus to take the bridal party around the golf course for pictures. I outline a detail description of when the shuttle was to leave the hotel and venue and etc. And I will say they follow it to the T so much so that the shuttle bus actually was late with the second group to the ceremony because I wrote in the description that he wait 15 minutes before leaving to make sure no one got left. But it wasn't a big issue, just know that they will follow your directions to a T. But all and all I am glad we booked them and happy with our service.

Shaune was awesome. I have a dark skin tone and I don't wear make up because I'm scared of looking like a clown. After my consultation I knew I was in good hands. She even gave me a lesson on how to put on make up so that I could spice it up for our honeymoon. My make up was perfect... PERFECT for my wedding. I am so happy with the results and my pictures look great. No matter what the event she will make you look beautiful.

I absolutely love our wedding bands... my husbands more so then mine but both are great. They are better priced then they regular retail Zales. The customer service was questionable, but once they figured out we had good credit and qualified for a credit card --- the customer serviced improved dramatically. I would recommend them to any bride on a budget.

We ordered our chair covers and sashes from them and everything looked great. They were recommended by our venue. They are "Fabulous" and can be quite funny when you call them on the phone. They always offer their advice even if you did ask for it but in the end if you know what you want their opinions don't matter. And in some case their advise is helpful. Very happy with my rental.

The uplights for our wedding made our reception beautiful. It was a wonderful touch. They were very helpful and even gave us ways to cut costs. The lights were very inexpensive. It was worth every penny.

Audrey is a wonderful person. She is the type of person that you would hang out with even if you weren't getting married at Old Hickory. She is very laid back and is willing to help you with whatever you need. She makes wonderful suggestions on what may or may not look good or work well for you wedding or reception. She is sooooo flexible and willing to accommodate any need or desire that you may have. She ran our rehearsal perfectly and there was no confusion on how or where to walk. She can order your chair covers and etc. directly for you so you don't have to worry about it. She also has a lot of things in her storage you can use like vases and etc. so you don't have to buy or rent them. You can also rent your ceremony items like pillars etc. from her at a very very good price. She sets up the reception area and ceremony are and I tell you should does a awesome job... our reception area and ceremony area looked sooooo beautiful. Honestly I have no complaints. but I do want you to know that even if you book her for the day of coordination she does leave before the reception is over... she will live the facility manager in charge... but she too might leave before it's over. But the staff will remain well after the reception is over to clean and they can be very helpful if you have any questions after Audrey and the facility manager leaves. So not that it's a problem just be aware that if everything seems to be going well she will leave. But other then that there is nothing I can say other then she is great.

I am so thankful to both Sheena and Tabby for bringing my day together. It was even more beautiful then I ever thought it would be. I initially was going to use the facility manager from my venue as a wedding coordinator but as the wedding approached I realized that she would not give me the attention and focus I need to make me feel confident that everything would go well with the wedding. So that is when I booked Embellished Affairs and I am so happy I did. Sheena and Tabby focused on every detail of my wedding during the planning process and the day of the wedding. Remarkably I believe I am the first bride to ever have a wedding in which nothing went wrong and I know that I owe that to Sheena and Tabby.
