Tamara is very professional and delightful to work with. She definitely gets the job done! She is a very genuine business person and definitely believes in what she does!
There are never any worries when planning with her! She keeps to her word and works harder than any professional I've ever encountered! Tamara did not log hours, or charge hidden charges. In fact, she did a lot of things 'free' of charge! Like extra meetings, and other little extras like making phone calls for me and running around for last minute details I couldn't attend to. She even had our engagement pictures printed up when I had no time and made a CD-ROM of them for us! The CD-ROM was free of charge! When I offered her compensation for her time, she wouldn't even hear of it! When she signed us on, she promised to be our right hand and she was!
We ordered our invitations through Tamara. She came right to my house and helped me select the ideal invitation. Since I had only six weeks to plan my wedding, she was amazing with helping me plan all the little details one tends to forget! She even hand delivered my invitations and showed me how to assemble them and provided a sample of how to address a wedding invitation according to etiquette. She always had neat little tips and suggestions for how to accommodate our guests, and nice touches that everyone would appreciate, like chocolates as parting gifts, a basket of emergency items in both washrooms, and centerpiece ideas that would also make great giveaway prizes.
For the planning, Tamara's vendors list was very impressive and she had already established good relationships with these vendors and they were more than willing to do business and negotiate with her due to her excellent reputation and reliability. We got our d.j. LAST MINUTE for under 900$ 'all in' for their complete package. This was a miracle. The owner did a special favour for her and made sure there was someone available for the night -we almost didn't have one! Thanks to her we had non-stop music! Tamara also sat with me for 2 hrs and helped me create an appropriate song list, and believe me, this can be hard to do since so many songs are about cheating, one-night stands and heartbreak! We also booked our cake/dessert baker who provided us with a beautiful spread of delicious desserts (5 trays) and a fabulous 3-layer wedding cake for under 350$! The cake top was as good as the day it was made a year later! (I froze the top layer)
Tamara organized and planned my wedding shower/bachelorette party (on the same day which I wanted) which was a wonderful afternoon with family and friends with an evening of fun for the girls. She made all the phone calls and collected all the funds for a joint gift some ppl had organized. (Tamara also went in on it!!!)
At my wedding there were a few 'problems'... and I 'quote' because I wasn't even aware of them!!! (go figure I later found out it was my mother-in-law trying to force a receiving line among other ridiculous requests that would have put a damper on our day!). Tamara was so smooth and so in control that she was able to diffuse all possible problems before they became PROBLEMS! I'll say one thing, if Tamara can keep your mother-in-law on her best behaviour, she can probably do anything!
As a surprise to me, Tamara also set up a beautiful arch that she decorated with tulle and vine leaves for our outdoor wedding service. It was stunning!
She also preformed our 'sand ceremony' that we opted to have instead of a unity candle. She personally wrote a beautiful dedication to us before she commenced the ceremony. It was funny because somewhere in the confusion I lost the coloured 'sand' we were supposed to use. The idea of the sand ceremony was that the bride and the groom would each pour in a colour during the ceremony and the 'pattern' they make in the vase would represent 'them'. We had ordered the vase etched with our monograms from Tamara. Without the sand I had lost, the ceremony could not be preformed! So quick thinking Tamara ran out on to the golf course in her dress and bare feet to scoop up some sand from the sand pits. It was hilarious! I still have that sand today on my mantle piece! There is this fantastic picture of the three of us laughing so hard since the sand was so moist and clumpy that my new husband had to literally thump on the bottom of his vase to get the sand to pour out resulting in most of it landing on the table. It was too funny! Someone from the audience yelled 'You see! It's all about compromise!'. Our families roared! It was a moment that could have gone so wrong, but ended up one of the highlights of the service. Everyone laughed and we later enlarged the picture, it was priceless! Thanks to Tamara and her quick thinking!
Tamara followed up after the honeymoon to thank us for our services and to ensure that we were happy with her services and how the day went.
I recommend Tamara's services all the brides I know because without her my wedding would not have been so much fun and so well organized, especially with only 6 weeks to plan it! When we signed on with Tamara we got more than we bargained for. It is obvious that she loves what she does and she will go to the ends of the Earth to make your day a success!
