Our original tasting was delightful and Kimberly was very easy to correspond with over email. We originally planned to have between 250 and 300 guests at the wedding, and we were quoted a per person price. When the RSVP's came in, and we found out that there would only be 150 guests at the wedding, she informed me that she would have to change the quote and increased the per person price. Despite glowing reviews from others of how her staff handled everything beautifully, when one of the chocolate fountains broke, the head person on her staff chose to inform me, the bride, in the middle of the cocktail hour that it was broken and that the guests should dip the strawberries (as if I was going to do something at that point). We were also disappointed in the quality of the crab cakes, of which several guests commented that they had the consistency of hockey pucks.
I"ll start with the one drawback, which is that they are one of the few photographers I saw that do not include rights to the images with your package. Our engagement photo shoot was a little rocky, our photographer showed up an hour late to an outdoor site in August, but Weihan (not at the engagement shoot) was absolutely fantastic at the wedding ceremony and reception. He adapted the shots to our ceremony and reception sites, and created some very fun, and beautiful photographs. The candid shots that he took at the reception are absolutely fabulous, and everyone looks great in them.
I loved my florist. I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted for my bouquets or arrangements. My mom and I met with John, and he showed us a "standard" book of arrangements and I told him our color scheme and we just talked into an arrangement. My bouquet was a beautiful arrangement of yellow roses and tons of green hypericum berries, and the bridesmaids the same with some green carnations. They looked amazing, so much more than I had expected - I didn't ask for one, but Mr. Kim didn't offer a trial bouquet, either, so I don't know how well he would work with someone who needs to check and double check what it will look like. Mr. Kim provides gorgeous flowers at a very reasonable price.
I absolutely loved my cake. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment, but the results are well worth it. When we met, I gave Nadine a picture of my gown, and she recreated the beading on the dress on the cake. Not only did the cake look like a work of art, but it tasted amazing - several guests have raved to me about it.
JPL Entertainment provides excellent service. Not only do they return your phone calls promptly, but they use an online planning tool to make coordinating your music very easy. Our DJ Joe was absolutely fantastic at the event. He helped us stick to the timeline we had created without being overbearing or pushy.
