I used the grand salon in the USU for my wedding reception, it is an elegant room with long windows, one that you would pay thousands for anywhere else. They allow you to bring in your own food, bar and rentals. The staff is personable and professional. Did I say you can't beat the value. You should at least consider using them...for a DIY bride or just a control freak one who wants no limitations and elegance use the Grand Salon. We had 130 guest
For 700.00 I had my wedding ceremony in a gorgeous gazebo set inside of a orange tree grove, next to a botanical garden and pond, they provided all equipment (chairs, mic, audio, easel, tables), and even snacks for the bridal party. The staff is so personable and the orange grove and pond made the perfect spot for pictures.
My food was provided by the Northridge location, I order food for 130 people, full set up service plus two servers. The food was beyond good, people can't stop talking about it, they are use to that bland pepper and salt chicken they find at so many locations. They ran out of plates but did everything to fix the issue in ten minutes, plus they did everything to put me at ease even after the event. This is the type of caterer you want, someone who actually cares about your event and guest. The value is unbeatable I feed my guest for under 15.00 a person, just try to find that at any catering hall. We had so much food afterward it was amazing but a delight to my greedy family and friends.
Although the cake arrive with "sloppy" color rings around it I did not approve or want, the taste was amazing. Jacki is simply a sweet person, she does not have a cancellation option so make sure you are set on her company before even providing a deposit. Like another reviewer I read a while back stated about her cakes, they taste good but the designs are lacking a little. If you choose her just be clear on what you want, don't let her run with it like I did. I would also suggest fondant (sure it taste funny), because butter cream is just hard to make look flawless. Again you wont find a nicer person, better value and a better taste...PERIOD!!!
