My fiance and I went to about 10 other venues in the DC, VA, MD area. We decided to have our ceremony and reception at Cerseville Mansion because no other location has such a beautiful ceremony and reception location. We had a evening wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking (my florist was To The 9's which also helped). The drinks poured were great and the food was even better! Believe me - you get your money's worth at Ceresville.
Ceresville provided a day of wedding coordinator who pretty much took care of all the details that was needed during my wedding day including calling my vendors beforehand, setting up the ballroom, placing favors on the table, placing floating candles in the pond, etc. So very helpful! My wedding coordinator was Stephanie and my day of coordinator was Stacey. Both were just so helpful and friendly. Stephanie, without any hesitation, had to change my invoice three times due to the fact my family kept inviting more people to the wedding. Stacey made sure my wedding day went as planned. Thank goodness for her, I didn't have to worry about anything. She made my day absolutely stress free.
Matt was fantastic. He is professional, thoughtful, and has a that magic touch when it comes to floral arrangements. The floral arrangements were breathtaking! No one at my wedding could comprehend how beautiful the floral designs he created were. He created for me tall centerpieces, place card arrangement, ceremony arrangements, bridal bouquets, etc - anything you can imagine. All were absolutely gorgeous that all the guests wanted to take them home! The flowers were fresh, and looked and smelled wonderful.
One thing I loved about To The 9's is that they show you an example of your bouquet and the centerpiece arrangement - no other place I talked to does this this. Matt is very attentive, listens to your suggestions (thank you), and really goes that extra mile for all his brides. I would absolutely 110% recommend him to any bride. Do yourself a favor and hire him for your wedding - you will not regret it!!!
Tasted better then it looked. (I gave it a 1 star for quality of service because it tasted good - but most brides want it to look good as well!) I asked for a white 3 layer square cake with fondant pearls on the bottom of the layers. Pretty easy huh? Well I got some icing squiggles instead of fondant. Should have taken my money somewhere else! Everything else about my wedding was beautiful - except for the cake. I'm a pretty easy going person but this cake looked cheap! Thank goodness I was able to cover some of it up with the flowers the florist provided me. Not impressed with the cake and I don't think any of my guests were either. If your going to order a cake from here I suggest you go in there two days before your wedding and make sure they are making you exactly what you want! If you can't do that don't bother ordering a cake from here.
I gave them a 5/5 on professionalism as I never discussed with them after the wedding on how disappointed I was. I figured what is done is done! There were flexible as I ordered the cake 2 months before my wedding.
My dress was gorgeous!! Best Bridal is a medium size boutique located in Chantilly, Virginia. I went through the dresses they had at their store and also online on the wedding dress designers websites. Their staff are sooo friendly which was important for me. I wanted to spend my money at a boutique that I count trust and that I had good relations with. I had gone to other bridal stores and its such a surprise to see how rude and uncaring the staff can be. That was not the case here. My husband also ordered his rental tuxedo and all his groomsmen tuxedo from here without any problems. They are very easy to work with. My dress arrived earlier then expected! No unexpected surprises :)
My bridesmaids and I decided to get the Melissa Sweet bridesmaids dresses here. The selection they have in this store is amazing. We went online first to see what we would like and then made an appointment to try the dresses on. The dresses arrived on time and were all the right size. Well worth it!
Mutual Fun Bands performance at our wedding was exceptional!! I decided not to go for a DJ as I wanted a live band to get my guests off their feet and get them more involved. They have a broad range of music to choose from and even learned a song for our first dance. They were able to get guests - who I have never seen dance - off their feet and put their dancing hat on! I'm so glad I hired them for our wedding and I would hire them again!

They were excellent and a great addition to my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour that was held outdoors. My guests were very very impressed. They really add a classy touch - and they are affordable! I communicated with Neil through email and he was very responsive and professional. They have a lot of experience and are the best ceremony music vendor in the DC/MD/VA area. They also can play modern music (Coldplay, Bitter Sweet Symphony, etc). I would absolutely hire them again.
He was so enjoyable to work with. He created and performed a flawless and thoughtful wedding ceremony. He even sent us a keepsake of our wedding vows and of the service. We are so glad to have had met him and for him to be a part of our wedding day. He is located in Frederick and has worked with other couples who have their ceremony at Ceresville.

I hired Jan as my makeup artist for my wedding day. She came to the hotel and then to the wedding venue to do my makeup, my mothers, my mother-in-laws, and two of my bridesmaids makeup. After leaving them in Jan's hands while I went and ran wedding errands I walked in to the bridal room at my wedding venue and stopped dead in my tracks! Jan had their makeup done and they looked absolutely amazing and were just so happy with the results. Just a side note she CAN do flawless makeup for any ethnicity (for example my mother in law is Chinese, I'm half Asian, and my cousin is Italian) and ANY skin type. She brings out the best features. She is the best of the best.
I can't say enough good things about Jan - she is professional, very very friendly, timely, and a pro at what she does. The first time I met her was when she did an initial makeup trial at my home. I recommend this initial trial to all brides as it allows you to hear her suggestions and for you to tell her how you want to look. She takes notes and makes you feel so comfortable. On my wedding day I had a spot (the horror!) and she was able to cover it up without any problem whatsoever. It was really important for me to look my best on my wedding day and Jan really did a wonderful job! I'm going to hire her again for other important events. Thank you! xoxo

Natural Fusion Hair Studio did my hair for my wedding day. I went to get my hair done at his salon but they also do site visits. I had talked to another bride who had her hair done at this studio for her wedding and she highly recommended them. Earl did a fab job. He did my hair, and then 3 others in my bridal party. Everyone's hair looked great. He has a lot of experience and is the funniest hairdresser you will ever meet! He makes sure your comfortable - offers you water, tea, and even asks us if we were hungry (he had bagels upstairs =P )
Early makes sure your happy with the final results. I had my hair highlighted at his studio three weeks before the wedding but I fell sick when I was suppose to go for the formal updo consultation. I never had a chance to see what my hair was going to look like before the actual wedding day - no big deal though because Earl is a pro! He knew exactly what would look good and what would work. My formal hair style stayed perfect during the whole ceremony and during the reception even after dancing. Highly recommended and very affordable.
We ordered rental equipment (tables, chairs, plates, etc) for my catered rehearsal dinner from Brooke Rentals which was held at my in-laws residence in Fairfax Virginia. They arrived on time and had everything I had ordered. I ordered online which was easy and stressfree. Thanks!
