Looking for a wedding cake was my husband's favorite part of planning our wedding! We went to about 5 different bakeries before going to Beautiful Cakes by Ron (our last stop!). Ron's cakes by far were the most gorgeous and delicious! It was important to us that our cake taste as good as it looked. Our cake ended up being absolutel beautiful and was the cake of my dreams. And the filling was my husband's "dream" (chocolate cake with peanut butter cup icing). We loved our cake so much, I got a replica (a very small one) cake for my husband's birthday, and it was still unbelievably good.
DO NOT GET A DRESS FROM HERE! I was pressured into buying a dress from here (with the tags cut out) because the saleswoman had me convinced that they dress would not be there when I came back the next day. I ended up buying it, and I totally regretted it. Although it was a great deal, the dress was not "the dress." Unfortunately, I was unable to buy another dress instead, so I was stuck with the dress from Jon's. Although I had a great wedding day, I went through the day with a dress I didn't like that much. I would not recommend going here. It is a good deal, but I wish I would have had to service and professionalism like a smaller boutique store. I bought my shoes and vail at a local boutique, and the service I receieved from them was incredible.
Fantastic store! Unfortunately I did not buy my wedding dress from here (but I wish I would have!), but I did buy my bridesmaids' dresses, my shoes, and my veil. It was a wonderful experience. Elaine is so nice and helpful. If you live in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, I would strongly recommend buying your dress and accessories from here.

Karen added such a wonderful element to our ceremony by playing violin. She played every song we requested (and played them beautifully). I would highly recommend her services to anyone.
My husband and I got married over the summer (June 2008) and were so pleased to have Grace as our officiate. From the beginning, Grace was extremely warm and professional. She made the entire process relaxing and personal. We worked with her on writing our vows and she helped us create vows that suited my husband and I perfectly. We were quite indecisive on how we wanted the ceremony to go, but Grace was supportive and flexible with any requests we had.
The rehearsal went so smoothly with Grace's help. She put us at ease knowing that she would keep our wedding ceremony moving smoothly. Of all the things I had to worry about on the wedding day, the ceremony was not one of them. It was absolutely perfect and everything I envisioned!
I cannot speak highly enough of Grace and her services. I would highly recommend her to any bride and groom-to-be. I am so thankful that my husband and I were referred to her!

I highly recommend A Victorian Bride Hair and Makeup. My wedding day (like everyone else's!) was stressful and hectic, but when Victorian Bride arrived, it was finally able to sit and relax and take a break! My hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted. It also withstood a beach wedding and massive wind and humidity! I was very worried about having my makeup "done." Previously when I've had it done, it comes out looking caked on and nothing like me! But with Victorian Bride, it was just how I would've done it, except better! The best part was the photographs came back and I looked like me, not a done-up version of me! The few hours while I was getting my hair and makeup done was the most relaxing part of the day, and was a wonderful treat (thanks Mom!). Also, I got married on a Sunday, so it was fantastic that they came to our hotel and did it on-site.
Sun Weddings was amazing to me and my family on my wedding day (and the planning process as well). They took care of so much on the day of. Between weathering a impending storm and a summer day on the beach, Sun Weddings took it all in stride and ensured my sanity! They were so professional and detail-oriented. Another great bonus is that they have a lot of their own equipment (chairs, altar, etc.) so we didn't have to worry about ordering outside rental equipment. I strongly recommend Sun Weddings to anyone!
