Working with this group was a disaster. The expectation setting meeting prior to the event was canceled (the day of because work was being done on the photographer's house) and never rescheduled, despite our numerous attempts. The day of the event, the senior photographer that we had chosen canceled on us due to an injury and sent someone just out of school. The photographer that was sent was a hard worker and I do believe that he tried his best. However, he was an half an hour late, so again, we had no time to discuss goals and expectations. In turn, we were far less than pleased with our pictures. The main reason we hired this group was because of their claim to capture emotion, specifically of our family. Out of over 200 shots, there were only about 10 shots of our family members. Literally, the amount of pictures of the decor and food outnumbered the shots of our family. When it came time to send us our picture CD, the first time it arrived it was a bad file and was not able to be opened. When they resent the CD it worked fine and the few pictures that we are able to use in are album are fantastic, I just wish there would have been more and wish that there was less disappointment involved with the only pictures that we have from our big day. When I expressed this kindly to the owner of the group, I was told it was nice doing business with me, but to never contact him again. I was astonished that a so called "professional" would respond that way to feedback.

The Kevin McPherson Group responded with the the following comments:
1.This particular bride is simply bitter that I was unable to shoot her event due to the injury. I worked with her on a special gift for her husband which they loved and I have the emails to show that. I save all emails.
2. Her event is online and looks great and I will be more than happy to allow anyone wishing to see them to do so.
3.The photographer was not late and in fact was more than 30 minutes early. He called me the moment he pulled up to the building to let me know he had arrived.
4.It was a reeactment of the real ceremony in Mexico. We were hired for only two hours of coverage. How much emotion can we capture from a 10 minute ceremony and an hour of everyone standing around drinking? There was no dancing or dinner served.
5.The bride was never promised a meeting to discuss her event. Generally we do this via phone and a shot list is requested which the bride never submitted to us. If requested we will meet with our brides and grooms to go over details, however this particular bride called me asking me out for cocktails, not for a meeting, so cancelling the date did not seem out of line to me since a major water leak in the basement is more important than drinks.

I am sorry this bride is unhappy but she emailed me nearly a dozen times over a two day period complaining about the same items over and over, so I finally had to ask her to stop emailing me and her husband took over. He was great, very level headed and easy to work things out with.

As I told this bride I wish her all the best and I still do. Please note that if you search us online this bride is the only one to have ever complained in the Five years we have been shooting weddings.
