About Me
I am 25 years old. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I moved to Oregon in 2002. I have three sisters (one of whom is with God in heaven). I love my family and I am so happy to have met my fiance who is always keeping me laughing and reminds me each day that he loves me. I recently went back to the Church and am trying to live my life positively and with an open heart each day.
Rants
It would have to be that when brides-to-be are too hard on their bridesmaids and make them go through bridal boot camp to get them into shape. Love them for how they already look!
Raves I love how grooms cry as they see their future bride walking down the isle. I hope mine does.
My fiance and I met at a casino we both worked at. I was with my ex boyfriend at the time and my fiance rarely came around to talk to me. I didn't think anything of him at first because I was involved. When my ex and I split, I started hanging out with more people who hung out with my fiance. It took about three months before I started to really notice him. Of course I believe that the guy should always make the first move, so I waited. Finally we caught each other in a hallway at work one day and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "will you marry me?" I didn't take it seriously so I just started to laugh and I walked away. He then started telling friends that I was the one he was going to be with for the rest of his life. When people at work started telling me this, I didn't really know what to do so I just set up a day where we can hang out and get to know each other. That evening we talked on the phone for about four hours and after that, we had each other. He proposed very simple. There was no romantic setting. He didn't even get down on his knee. He basically asked me in the car. I was surprised when I saw the ring. I actually didn't know that he remembered what ring I liked. I didn't know he was paying attention. So that was really surprising and cute. Well, long story short, we've been going strong for three and a half years. Our wedding is Oct. 30, 2009 and I can't wait.
The Ring
My ring is a white gold band with small diamonds that sit around the top of the ring and bridging under a raised set of four tiny diamonds that, from a distance, look like one diamond on top. I thought it was a unique style and a lot of jewelers have said that they've never seen the diamonds go completely under the raised bridge. It's a gorgeous ring and I love it.
Our Wedding Plans
Our wedding plans began shortly after we got engaged. We had planned to be married on November 15, 2008. When we started figuring out a budget, we knew that the date we chose would leave us with some debt so we decided to postpone it another year. We knew we wanted an autumn wedding so we looked up and down the 2009 calendar from September to November, and we decided on Friday, Oct. 30. I've always pictured a traditional Catholic wedding, but my FH was iffy on taking the marriage prep courses so we looked at other venues. When we sat and talked with people at my church, he gave in and agreed to have the ceremony and reception at the church. He knew it would mean a lot to me and he always wants me happy. So the plans are coming along pretty well. I am so thankful to my sister for setting us up on WeddingWire.com. It has helped me so much and without a planner, I have this site. I am not one to stress out a lot so I am just hoping that everything goes smoothly. I have help from family so that is taking a load off us. I will have the wedding I've always pictured and the man I love for the rest of my life.
Our Planning Experience
The whole wedding planning experience has been quite a roller coaster. We went from panning it for November of 2008 to moving it to October of 2009. We knew right away that we didn't want a traditional wedding cake and we knew we wanted to have just over 100 guests. So far, with less than 5 months away, we are calm and excited. As long as we don't stress over the plans, we'll be fine.

Our Advice
Our advice would be to just remain calm and take your planning slowly and carefully. Some brides stress out on their planning and don't realize that they're missing out on the moments of their wedding. The memories don't begin the day of the wedding. They begin the day your're engaged. So just remember to breathe and enjoy every bit of your planning and wedding day.
Hi my name is Mary and I make silk flowers tht would go very well with your dress. Please check out my site and I know you would love my flowers. I will email you pictures before I would send them to you so you can see them before you receive them. The back of my bouquets are just as pretty as the front.
Hi, I see you love deep red flowers. I invite you to get some ideas on my website for flowers at www.suzannemsmithdesigns.com
Since you didnt have vendors allowed on your flower post, I thought I'd get in touch, LOL
BY the way Mini Callas are not all that expensive if used with other flowers as accents.
I have several pretty weddings online to see in your colors. have fun and Best Wishes!
