This is for a Ceremony only venue. Our photos turned out amazing with the gardens in the background of every picture. The best part is, I only needed to spend money on bouquets and boutineers and the rest of the beautiful flowers were courtesy of mother nature! Our guests are still raving over how beautiful the site was.
We only used this venue for our reception but this would have made for a great ceremony venue as well. The grounds are very well up kept and Keith the owner is so helpful and flexible. We've met with him numerous times and he reasurred he would have everything just the way we wanted it. He helped take a lot of the last minute stresses down to a minimum. Beautiful bed and breakfast with a nice creek running beside it. It is a place where guests or the bride and groom can rent for the night as well. It is far away from everyone, but yet close enough to the major roads and highways for that area. A must see for every bride.
This situation could have been a lot worse, but on the flip side, this was the most important day I was buying a dress for, and with that said it could have been a much better experience. They work great with you to get you to purchase the dress, but after it is purchased GET IT ALTERED ELSEWHERE! I love the dress, as for the alteration process I give them a F-. My mother and bridesmaids as well as myself was asked to make an appointment time and time again for alterations which when we would go back for another fitting, she only had more pins in it. The worst was she mixed up the bridesmaids dresses (still will not admit it, and they had to pay for the extra alterations). One bridesmaids gown was to be brought in an inch and another was to be taken out an inch. At their next fitting it was flipped the bridesmaid that needed it taken out, needed it left out again, and the bridesmaid that needed it needed it taken in again. What a coincidence?!?! After taking off numerous evenings from my second job since the alteration lady is on in on Thursday evenings, I was releived when she told me to make my appointement for my FINAL fitting. When I came back, it seemed nothing was done to my dress at all. Everything still needed sewn! I'm sorry ladies, I thought a final fitting means I could take it home that evening and get married that same night if wanted to, in the perfect dress, that still has pins and loose threads on it! I could go on and on about the things we overcame with this "business". We were still finding things wrong with one of the bridesmaids dresses on the day of the wedding. But its over now, and I don't feel like getting all worked up again. It turned out to be a beautiful day and thats whats important. My alterations, just for cups to be put in, and to bring up the hem....the most expensive I've ever paid....$311
We could not have asked for a better DJ on our special day. He exceeded all our expectations. He helped keep everything running smoothly all night long, and was very flexible with us for our reception was much different from most.
Mayor Kinder did a wonderful job with our wedding. He worked with us to add certain readings that made the ceremony more like our personalities. We had a grandmother pass away the week of our wedding, and we wanted to incorporate a blessing from those who could not be there, and he was very flexible to add that with such short notice.
