Hi Krystale I was just just surfing the web for ideas for my wedding and I ran across your profile. I am having my wedding at Safari Texas as well on August 1, 2009. I contacted them about an Ice Sculpture and they use Ice Occasions. They will actually order it for you. I see that you posted the question in March but just in case you still needed answers. How is everything going, I am very nervous.
This church has the most beautiful stained glass windows on all 3 sides. The lighting, sound system and ambience are superb. Everyone we worked with was so sweet. The organist, Beth McConnell, is so talented and played angelically on both the organ and piano. Our pastor, Rev. Linda Summers-Pierce ministered the service in a very compassionate manner and she was very nurturing and took the time to counsel and pray with the bride before the wedding. The church wedding coordinator, Marsha Hayden, is organized and efficient and made sure everything went smoothly and without a stitch from the first time we met with her up through rehearsal night and actual wedding day. I feel so blessed that God saw fit for our wedding to take place here! We had the most memorable service ever!
Safari Texas is a beautiful place to hold your reception! We checked out several venues and by comparison, Safari Texas gave us the best value for our money. We chose The Veranda room, which has a spectacular chandelier right in the middle of the room and above the dance floor. I loved that the dance floor was in the middle of the room, so everyone could get a good view of everyone dancing. The Veranda also has the most beautiful European mural on one side of the room where we had the head table, and this provided the most gorgeous background for a lot of our pictures. We had to deal with more than one coordinator from the time we booked our date, but each coordinator we worked with was organized, professional and accommodating, and they all responded quite promptly to any of our questions or concerns. We asked for a taste session, and we were provided with a beautiful array of our choices...it was quite a banquet really! The food choices are outstanding. On the wedding day, the room was decorated beautifully and the service was flawless from start to finish. Everything went exactly according to plan, and our coordinator stayed until the end to make sure all our needs were met. We had the most fantastic time, and I would highly recommend Safari Texas to anyone!
Don't waste your time and money looking for anyone else. Mr. Hurst is the best and the most reasonable on the market! He and his wife, Lena, are the most professional people I have ever dealth with. Mr. Hurst takes his time to take the best pictures, and he and his wife came more than 2 hours before the wedding service to take a lot of pre-weddng pictures and stayed until the very end of the reception which was 8 hours later! He doesn't just take pictures, he makes sure you have pictures which tell the whole story. You can watch your whole wedding and reception unfold before you again and again for many, many years to come. Trust me, if you're getting married, you want Mr. Hurst!
I would highly recommend Janice to anyone seeking the best florist for their wedding. Janice took the time to meet with us several times. The first time, she listened to both Brandon and Krystle to get a good feel of their personalities, to understand the theme and tone of their wedding, and she probed to find the perfect blend of flowers they would like incorporated into their altar arrangements, the pew markers, the bouquets and corsages, the boutonnieres, and the decor at the reception site. Janice became such a good friend of mine. We visited the church together on more than one occasion, so she could get a good feel of just what we wanted. We also traveled to the reception site, so she could plan just how she could get everything done. Everything turned out so beautiful on the wedding day! Janice was so supportive through the whole process, and she stayed through the long photography session afterwards, and waited until it was over so she could transport the flower arrangements to the reception site. We feel so blessed that God sent Janice to us....not only did we find the best florist, we also ended up with a wonderful friend!
The best DJs ever, and the best bargain on the market because you really get two for the price of one - Ferdinand provided all the wonderful music and Wendy was the greatest MC we could ask for! From the first time we met with Ferdinand and Wendy, we were quite impressed with them. They are a loving couple and work as a wonderful team to provide you with the best service making your wedding reception the most memorable ever! Ferdinand played such a wonderful mix of music all throughout the evening. He read the crowd very well and his timing of the right music is impeccable! Wendy is perfect as the mc....she kept everything flowing perfectly,flawlessly and according to schedule, and she has this beautiful voice, warm and inviting. She enunciates everything so clearly that you won't miss anything! They are so reasonably priced, and they stayed long after all the guests had left to party with the family! We absolutely loved them, and we would hire them for any other occasion in a heartbeat!
If you are looking for a videographer, Rob is your man! Rob is extremely easy to work with, and you practically feel like you've known him all your life when you meet him for the first time. He blends in so well with all the guests and family,and you don't even realize he's taping you while you're talking and acting silly, because he makes you feel so comfortable. He will stay as long as you want, and he videotapes a whole lot of material, and then he deftly crafts the most memorable video for you which completely captures the essence of your wedding day. Rob will add the most beautiful music to match the moments, and he inserts special effects which just makes his videos all the more special. He is also so reasonable priced, and he will even create a website for you so you can share your special day with all your family and friends. Trust me, you don't want to get married without Rob!
