The ballroom at the Scottish Rite Cathedral is one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever seen. There is a balcony around the second floor level, so we had cocktails on the balcony (and guests could look down at the wonderful table arraingements!), and then moved down to the main level for dinner and dancing. The ballroom is very large, and comfortably seated 150 with a VERY large dance floor. There are some restrictions as to how you can decorate because it is a historic location. You can't tape or tack anything to the pillars, etc. But that was fine, the dark wood and basic design of the room is beautiful to begin with. Valerie was so helpful in working with our whole event. Actually, she was so helpful that I didn't feel the need to have an actual wedding coordinator - she took care of everything! She even recommended the florist that we ended up using! I would highly recommed the Scottish Rite Cathedral to anyone who wants a stunning and elegant reception.

The food was spectacular! Thomas's also provided all the table linens and placeware, which were quite nice. My only issue is that they were the only caterers used by the reception hall I selected, so they were able to charge a very high price.

John & Josie Crowe are fantastic! The were flexible, accommodating, and concerned with our ideas about both our wedding day and our album images. I would recommend them to anyone looking for fantastic service and stunning images.

Out of all the cakes we tasted, Heavenly Sweets was by far the best! Her professionalism was extraordinary - manifested by how she took the care to let us taste different types of cake combined with different icings and fillings, all while making notes of what we did and did not like. She listened to how we wanted the cake to look, and worked with our caterer to add a dash of fresh raspberries on top!! As an added bonus, she believes so much in the quality of her cakes that instead of "freezing the top layer to eat on the first anniversary", she includes a free 6'' round cake of the same type as your wedding cake that you can redeem on your first anniversary! Fantastic all around - I was so happy with Heavenly Sweets.

Gary Thrapp & Emily Chapman helped us so much in selecting my wedding band. They listened to what I wanted, and found a piece that was even better than I had imagined. As I was deciding, Gary took me outside to see how the diamonds sparkled in the natural light - it was amazing! The ring came with an appraisal for insurance purposes, and before the wedding Emily also appraised my engagement ring (which my fiance had purchased elsewhere) for free as well as giving both rings a good polishing so they would sparkle nicely for the ceremony! G.Thrapp offers small-town feeling service and exceptional quality - I will go back again and again for all my future jewelry purchases!
