Hey, kiddos, remember to keep your focus as it draws closer.... the real issue will be: Is my Mom having fun?

Can't wait to fly out for the Nerd Wedding of the century. I enjoyed the website, especially the clarification that the two of you are getting married to each other; I was under the impression that you were getting married to two separate individuals until I saw it posted on your site. Thanks for that.

I, too, would like to avoid poison lasagna. And I should hope you have nothing against stir-frying, given the awesome wok you picked up when we dragged you to Chinatown! :)

I'm signing so I don't get poison lasagna.
Also, while reading your story I found this: "Wednesday started off badly, Nora didn't want to go to court, to wok, and couldn't find two matching shoes." Nora didn't want to wok? What, you've got something against stir-frying?

I hope that by the time you tie the knot, I shall have been able to select some thing(s) REALLY appropriate. For THAT - stay tuned.
Kio (and the owner, Kristen) is awesome. I came to her with a few ideas about what I wanted, and she presented me with a HUGE variety of options, always conscious of my budget concerns. I threw her a total curveball when I found something I needed to have in my centerpieces, and they came out great. Our flowers were beautiful- the personal flowers were really unique and everyone loved them, and our decorations were beautiful and really set the tone for the evening. People were fighting over taking the centerpieces home! I wasn't going to have my bouquet preserved, but it's so gorgeous I couldn't bear to part with it!
Buy your dress at Eva's and have it altered SOMEWHERE ELSE. I had a wonderful experience buying my dress- this was my last stop, my consultant was great, really listened to me and I ended up getting my dream dress. The awful service and stuff of my nightmares started when I began alterations. The dress was entirely too big, but the seamstress insisted that if I wore a better bra, the dress would fit. She continued to refuse to take the dress in until one week before my wedding, but she wouldn't take it in enough, and in all my wedding pictures, it is quite obvious that my dress is too big. I didn't lose weight or change anything. This is an important decision, and it's really best to take your dress to someone who will listen to your concerns and make sure your dress fits YOUR body. Don't waste your time or your money. Don't pay for a service you won't get here.
Ordered our save-the-date magnets from MagnetStreet. Turned out incredible, the only downside is they have a somewhat limited selection for inserting your own photos.
Everything was perfect, gorgeous. super-fast proofing and fast delivery, customer service was responsive and polite, we loved everything we got and the prices CANNOT be beat.

Jen and Tina were fantastic! They worked quickly but made everyone feel papered and elegant. My mom was nervous about having her makeup done, but Jen made her feel gorgeous. We had a super-fun girls only morning before my wedding that helped everyone relax and enjoy the rest of the day. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup- mostly hair, because Jen was so good nobody knew I was wearing makeup. Tina did a great job- every girl looked different, but each of us looked fantastic. Aside from being great at what they do, Jen and Tina are friendly, really nice people and will make your day a little extra-special. I would recommend them to anyone.
We used Dettagli for our day-of coordinator, and they did a fantastic job! The entire day ran like clockwork, everyone knew exactly what they needed to do, and it was all thanks to Kate Z. She got our whiny flower girls down the aisle, made sure we got to sit and eat before socializing, kept our dj cued in for all our big reception events and every single wedding party member and other vendor absolutely adored her. Great value for the price, best money we spent on the entire wedding!
