This is the most beautiful venue ever. The location is private and intimate and open all at the same time. The staff are great to work with and think of every last detail. The day of the wedding they took care of so many things without any instruciton from us. I'm so thankful that we chose such a professional company to work with. The food was delicious...everyone raved at how perfect the food, view, staff were. The only hard thing is the cost. In retrospect though, it was worth every penny and then some. As far as flexibility, the staff is great and work with you 100%, but I gave it 4.5 b/c if YOU don't plan far enough in advance, YOU will decrease the flexibility they are able to give you on dates b/c they book up approx 1 year in advance. When we came to look at dates 10 months in advance, almost EVERY Saturday for the coming year had already been reserved. PLAN IN ADVANCE and just book the date, it's worth it!
I went to the Alfred Angelo in Beverly Hills and it was a nightmare. The dress came two sizes too large but they would NOT take the dress back. I showed up to pick up my dress and asked to try it on BEFORE I paid for it, but they pressured me into paying for it first, saying they were very busy and it was going to take 20 min for them to pull the dress from the back. When I got my dress, tried it on, it was too big...way too big. The seamstress that ALFRED ANGELO hires told me that the dress looked like it was two sizes larger than the tag...still no help from Alfred Angelo. THE REGIONAL MANAGER WAS IN THE STORE WHEN I COMPLAINED BUT WOULD NOT TALK TO ME. She pretended she was NOT the manager and the staff went in the back "to call her". I called them on LYING TO ME and they admitted that the woman I saw walking around the store was in fact the Regional Manager but that she didn't want to talk to me about it that day and that they would only give me $100 store credit for the mistake! Ugh. Don't go there. The service is SOOO frustrating. The dress did end up working out and was pretty but I had to spend another $1,000 on top of the cost of the dress to alter it to fit me!
Allen was a great DJ. The guests loved him and the music he played. I was very specific about what I wanted played at the wedding...I had a long list. Maybe I'm a control freak. Not all the songs I demanded to be played were played and there was some Jimmy Buffet when I specifically asked that there not be any JB, but whatever, the guests loved him and the music and I guess at the end of the day, that's all that really matters. My husband thought he was awesome too. There was a wide variety of music from several generations and styles of music.
Allen is more than JUST a DJ, he's an all around coordinator. He pays attention to the smallest details and works hand in hand with the wedding coordinator to make sure that day went smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing with Allen. He kept the day on track, hunted down family members for speeches, announcements, cake cutting, whatever you need. I mean the man is ON TOP OF IT! I would highly recommend Allen for a classy event any and everyday. AAA DJ Service responded with the the following comments: I remember this bride and groom very well and I certainly did NOT think they were control freaks; instead they were wonderful to work with. They did however request an unusually large number of songs, some of the requests came at the last minute. All in all, it was well over 250 requested songs. Knowing I had only enough time to play about 80 songs, I let them then know they had requested more songs that I could possibly play. They told me to use my best discretion and "read the crowd", so that's what I did. I did inadvertently play ONE Jimmy Buffet song. It was not intentional; I guess I am human and made a mistake. :-) But it was an AWESOME party!
MagnetStreet was awesome to work with. They estimated something long like 10 business days for production and delivery, but completed the work in less than half the time. The online service allows you to design the magnet the way you want and then send it for print. I called to ask a lot of questions and work on pricing. Someone is there to answer the phones everyday and they even worked on extending me a discount after the online coupon expiration date passed. After I sent in my example, I also was able to talk to the production department as frequently as I wanted until I was satisfied with the demo they sent me. The actual product came out to look just like the example they sent me by email. Everyone loved it. I can't say enough good things about this company and their product.
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I've never met such a honest, kind, respectful jeweler. Oscar is the best. I've already recommended my friends who also got their engagement ring and wedding bands there. The value is unbeatable. Oscar is flexible on pricing and really is invested in creating long time customers, not just making a big sale. I've gone back to him for over a year now. I bought all the gifts for the wedding party there and his staff worked with me to make everything perfect. I cannot say enough kind things about this company. We will be lifetime customers of Oscar now.
I enjoyed working with Mint PL. Sarah is great, very responsive and flexible with tough budgets. They made us a personalized banner which I liked. They showed up on time, performed a great service and the guests really enjoyed their photos. The quality was good and the service was great. I was very happy with their service and recommended them to my family for company parties already.
