Home Town
Brisbane, Australia
Education
I completed high school in Australia and am now slowly completing a bachelor of criminology by correspondence through an Australian University
Hobbies
Going on long walks with my FH and our two dogs, going on drives to discover a new place.
Favorite Quote
The majority should never be allowed to vote on the rights of the minorities. Preserve and equal mind
About Me
Im Australian, have lived in 4 different countries now and am getting ready to complete the big move to America which will be my 5th country. I study criminology and aim to work with rape and abuse victims in the future. Me and my FH spend every spare minute we have together as we are always forced apart sometimes for months at a time due to his job. Im pretty much a typical aussie girl love to go out love the outdoors and anything adventurous and just have a love of life in general.
Rants
People saying all the planning is easy. It is not all easy some things are extremely difficult. We are planning our wedding in Kansas though we will be living in CA and I neither of us can travel often to do any onsite planning or have face to face discussions with vendors. Some parts are fun and great but it can be frustrating and I think anyone who says it is easy either had a lot of help or is forgetting those frustrating moments and the stress.
Raves
Being able to talk to others in the same position who have great ideas and know of lots of bargains. It makes the whole process so much easier knowing that just posting a message someone will have some idea to help.

Our Story

I met my FH in a bar in Bahrain. He is in the US Navy and was stationed there after finishing his tour in Iraq. I was living there with my parents for a new experience. I went out for a night with a girlfriend after a tough week. Within five minutes of walking in this gorgeous guy came over and started talking to me. No cheesy pick up lines or sleazy attitude just a nice kinda shy guy. He asked if he could buy me a drink and I said sure you can get me a shot of tequila. I think I had him hooked that second lol.  After chatting for a few hours and swapping numbers it was time to leave. Well he gave my friend a hug and was so nervous to hug me that he shook my hand. We went on a date the next night and again talked for hours he was so shy that I just couldnt stop smiling. On our third date we had our first kiss. We spent every night together from then until I moved to Dubai a month later. I flew to Bahrain every second weekend to be together. After my FH got stationed in San Diego I have made two trips to the states to be together. I am so happy that I went out that night and that I met my gorgeous shy country boy that I fell madly in love with.

The Ring

My wonderful future husband got me the most incredible engagement ring. He designed it himself and it truly is one of a kind. The band is actually wavy not straight and goes down into a v shape at the front. It has two smaller diamonds and two rubys along the v and in the centre of the v is one large diamond. It is in 18ct yellow gold and I absolutely adore it. Ive put a photo up of the ring and I think its just beautiful. I have gotten my wedding ring custom made to fit perfectly with it and it is 18ct yellow gold again and has 11 small diamonds along the v shape. My FH wedding band has been custom made as well and is very simply with a design carved into the band and small diamonds running down on an angle in the front.

Our Wedding Plans

We are planning on a small intimate wedding 50-60people. We have chosen a gorgeous little castle called Caenen Castle in Shawnee Kansas. Our wedding will be from 5-10pm and both the ceremony and reception will be held in the same location. So far the plan is for mainly candles and rose petals for the centrepieces and candles down the side of the aisle. We have a bridal party of 8. 3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen a flower girl and a ring bearer. The reception will be a cocktail party.

Hey! Immigration question. My info says our passport photo has to be 2x2 however FH says standard in the UK are smaller than this. Did you have this problem? Does it matter? Thanks!
