Meg did both the videography and photography for our small "elopement" recently, with her associate. She was amazing to work with! Both our pictures and video are wonderful! We had told her we met playing World of Warcraft, and she surprised us by using the music from it in the video! It fit, and it really makes it unique to us. Everyone was impressed at the quality of each, and I was especially happy with the pictures of our family which I didn't even know she took.
What truly made her so great though was this: we mentioned that we were having a family party 2 days later to celebrate our wedding, and she worked hard and had both the video and the photos to us the day after our wedding! She also had the photos online by then, and when I told her this was wonderful because I could show them to my family who was unable to attend, she went at once and also uploaded the video for them! It meant so much to us to be able to share our wedding with our family and friends who weren't there. This is truly above and beyond what we expected when we originally hired her and set her in a class of her own. She really cares about the couples she works with and goes to great lengths to make their day special.
I was planning our "elopement" wedding from another country. All our planning was done by email. Carrie was great, responded promptly and worked with me to come up with ideas about what I wanted. When we later added more bouquets she was great in helping us pick what we wanted. It turned out perfectly. Everyone commented on how beautiful our flowers were, even at our reception which was 2 days later!
Jacques Pastries made our wedding cake for our recent wedding. It was beautiful, just what we wanted. The cake was green, and they perfectly matched the clover green of my sash despite me never giving them a colour swatch. It was so perfect that our guests didn't believe it was real cake!
They also made us another sheet cake, when, with less than 2 weeks to go, we learned there would be more guests than we expected, and it was perfect too! It was done in matching green icing, and blended in perfectly when served with the rest. They were very accommodating about everything, and didn't hesitate to confirm any details they were unclear about, to ensure everything turned out perfectly
They delivered it on time and set it up for us, and it was extremely professional.
And the cake: DELICIOUS! We had 3 layers, chocolate with raspberry and fudge fillings, almond with amaretto icing, and white with black cherry. The almond was the favourite but all were well received and everyone asked who had done our cake. It was so moist and flavourful.
We got my husband's tux from Marry and Tux. They were pleasant to work with, and accommodated our request to pick up the tux on the Monday prior to our Thursday wedding, as it was out of town.
When we went to pick it up, the shirt didn't fit, and they promptly switched it for another. Everything else fit perfectly.

I booked appointments for my hair and makeup for my wedding, and a manicure and pedicure the day before. Then I went in in person (I am not local) the Monday before, and asked if they had any room the Saturday, 2 days after my Thursday wedding, to do my hair and makeup for our wedding reception. They worked with me to find a time, bright and early Saturday to have both done. I had fully expected to be told, "sorry we are booked solid". It was a pleasant surprise.
I saw 4 different people in all my varied appointments, and all were wonderful. I picked two different hairstyles, and loved both. I don't know which was my favourite. Actually, on the second day, I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted, and she worked with me to create the perfect look. The mani and pedi were so relaxing and turned out so beautifully. Everyone was very friendly and cheerful, and the staff seemed to be really social and happy. It was a great experience.
