This was by far our best choice of all the decisions we made for our wedding. Since we were planning my MD wedding from NC, we didn't have too much time to interview vendors, especially caterers. We met with Kristin Olsson from Atlantic Caterers and immediately decided to go with this vendor. We were and still are very happy with our choice. We did not even want to meet with any other caterer. The food was excellent! Krisitn helped me with EVERYTHING! She completely went above and beyond what I thought her duties should be. Our tables were beautiful, the entire set up was wonderful and she really kept up on the small details that a nervous bride may forget. She kept us on top of things and on schedule on our wedding day to make sure everything ran smoothly. Best of all, Kristin is a wealth of knowlegde. She has a huge network of people that she works with and communicates with all of your vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page. She made sure our cake was perfect (and delicious). Her and her staff made sure that our centerpices were placed perfectly on the tables, place cards were in place, our guest book was put out, etc... I didn't have to worry about a thing. She completely put my mind at ease. I would recommend Atlantic Caterers to anyone for any event.
Mary-Ruth is not only fabulous as a florist but she is also awesome at calming nervous bride's nerves. Her voice and demeanor is calming and it makes the stress of wedding planning much easier. I was especially stressed because I was planning a wedding in Maryland from North Carolina. We accomplished so much by phone and e-mail and I never felt unsure about how my arrangements were going to turn out. She is very knowledgeable, has great artistic abilities and if you are as indecisive as I was, Mary-Ruth is who you want to work with. After giving her vague descriptions of what I wanted (through phone and e-mail in which she always responded quickly) I finally was able to make the trip to Maryland to meet with her in person. She showed me her ideas based on what I requested and she "hit the nail on the head". Everything was exactly as I wanted and on the big day, the bouquets and arrangements were even more beautiful than I expected. Absolutely perfect! I would without a doubt recommend Mary-Ruth Chapin to any bride or anyone else needing floral arrangements.
Our cake was delicious, moist and everyone at the wedding complimented its appearance and taste. We gave our caterer a picture of the cake we wanted and she took it to Desserts by Rita and the duplicated it perfectly. We were very pleased and would recommend them to anyone!

We used John Paul Berry through Absolute Entertainment as our DJ. I spoke with him mostly over the phone because we were living out of state at the time. I discussed the genres of music my husband and I like and he immediately began naming lists of songs that happen to be a favorite. He really listened to what we wanted and played songs that fit both of our tastes. He was not by any mean "cheesey" or "over the top". He was low key and that it exactly what we wanted. Everyone had such a good time dancing at our reception. He also did our ceremony music. We didn't want anything too traditional so he was able to come up with different versions of the traditional songs that made our wedding feel more modern. He is a wealth of knowledge and really plays music according to your taste.
I was originally excited about using Rexcraft for our wedding invitations because they printed photo invitations at a reasonable cost. The only good thing about this company is their customer service representatives. They are available via live chat, are polite, responsive and are willing to fix any problems you come across. BUT...I had so many problems with my inivtations. I ordered my invites with special insrtuctions to replace a leaf logo with a sea shell logo on the inside of the invite. Upon receiving my proff, this change I requested was not made. So, I had them fix it and resend me another proof. Everything looked good so I responded to their e-mail (as requested my them) to go ahead and print the invitations because no further changes were needed. Two weeks passed and I had not heard anything from them. I got on a live chat with a customer service rep. who informed me that the proof department never received my e-mail approving the proof (I had all of the documentation that I did in fact send the e-mail). So, she upgraded my order to rush print and delivery. I explained to her that I was concerned that they were going to print the original proof rather than the proof I had made changes to and approved. She assured me this would not happen and I would have my invitations in two days. She provided me with a tracking number and after trying to track the package, I realized that they shipped the invitations to my billing address (in Baltimore, MD) rather than my shipping address (where I live in NC). I fillped out. How was I going to get these invitations to my guests in enough time for them to RSVP? Well, Rexcraft interrupted delivery and I got the inivtations then next day. Guess what??? The were the wrong invitations. Just as I was afraif of, the printed the original incorrect proof rather than the one I approved. And, the response envelopes were not in the box. So, again, I got on live chat and the representative was very helpful. She had them reprint my RSVP cards to give me more time, had them reprint the correct invites and send the response envelopes. What a disaster! I got my inivtes out in time and all of my problems were quickly fixed but should this many mistakes have happened? It was the most horrible experience of all of my wedding vendors.
