Everything at the Horseshoe Bay Marriott was amazing! Our friends & family were there from out of town and had plenty of time to experience the resort - they all raved about the fun activities and the quality of service from the staff. The concierge recommended a winery for our bridesmaids outing the day before the wedding, and it was a great experience for everybody. We had our ceremony at the Yacht Club Lawn and Reception in the YC Ballroom. There were two other weddings going on the same night, but we never crossed paths and had no disruptions or confusion thanks to the resort staff. Many of our guests said that the food at our reception was the best they'd ever had at a wedding! During our reception, many different staff members approached us to check in and make sure everything was going well. They arranged for sparklers & a "getaway car" at the end of the night, and we received special amenities in our room during our three nights there. EVERYONE at the resort was fabulous and we are so happy that we chose such an amazing location for our wedding!
This was the first store I went to when shopping for a dress with my mom. We were able to look through the dresses to try on our own, and once I began trying dresses on, Nivea the owner pulled one from the back that had just come in. I ended up loving it & went back the next day to buy it after visiting several other shops! The only complaint I have is that they did not always return phone calls when my mom & I called to ask about pricing for bridesmaid dresses. Because of this, we ended up going elsewhere for the BM dresses, but everything else about my experience at Camillas was wonderful!
Men's Wearhouse/Mr. Tux worked well for us because the groomsmen were all in different places, and had to be fitted at home but pick up the tuxes at our wedding location. They were very understanding when we changed the pick up location several times, and made adjustments for the guys as necessary when they picked them up. I just don't understand why they require all of the tuxes to be returned the next day after the wedding, it's extremely inconvenient. We had to pay $20 per tux because we didn't make it to the store before it closed at 6:00PM on a SUNDAY. It just seems like they would understand that couples have better things to do the day after their wedding then to rush out to return the tuxes.
Our invitations were beautiful and just as pictured on their website. They sent free samples of several designs, and they include a complimentary review for spelling & ettiquette. They came sooner than the company promised, and everyone thought they were a great value for the cost. After I had them send me the samples, they continuously sent coupons for free shipping or a certain percentage off. We are extremely satisfied with this company!
We ordered our save-the-date magnets from here, and they were awesome. We received a proof from one of the staff members, and we were able to communicate with her directly with our changes & adjustments before the magnets were printed. They come with cute envelopes and the company actually sent a few extra that we didn't have to pay for, which we really appreciated!
Our wedding ceremony & reception turned out to be amazing! There were definitely a few glitches in the planning process, which I believe could have been avoided by better communication between the ladies working on our wedding. In the end it was just what we wanted and we were very happy with the outcome!
We had our rehearsal dinner at the River City Grille, after the Horseshoe Bay Marriott suggested them. The location was very nice, outside on a deck overlooking the lake. The owner came up with a great limited menu for us, the food was great, and it was kid-friendly (we had about 9 kids in attendance). It was a very convenient location to the resort, would definitely recommend it to anyone getting married in the area!
