I loved Ashelynn Manor!!! I had no regrets whatsoever having my wedding and reception there. The staff was just wonderful and very willing to work with our needs. They also had great suggestions, and we felt really taken care of! Tessie made sure we knew where to go, what to do, and had everything ready for us. They have complete wedding packages at excellent prices, almost half of what a lot of venues in Houston was asking for. Ashelynn Manor's vision is Christian based, and their services reflected that. The bed & breakfast was gorgeous and they had rooms to accommodate us. The newly built chapel was a country style white chapel, which made a picture perfect wedding!

Petals and Designs was great! I've recommended them to 3 of my other friends who are getting married. They do great work, and their prices are extremely affordable. Andres was very flexible when I had changes and was able to accommodate them with no problem. They will even stay during the ceremony and move flowers to the reception hall. I was so pleased during my wedding day because the flowers looked incredible. I would highly recommend Petals and Designs to other people!

Nutmeg cakes are awesome!!!!!!! My favorite is their mocha chocolate, which if I had to do it over again, I'd make it the bridal cake (instead of the grooms cake). The owner was very flexible with the design of the cake and was willing to work with us on the price. We've had a lot of great comments on how beautiful the cake was and how delicious it was. I would most definitely recommend Nutmeg again to someone else!!

David's Bridal had some cute and affordable prices for their wedding dresses, but they didn't have enough selection of smaller sizes, i.e. size 0 or 2. Their veil and tiara was totally expensive!!!! I believe the veil and tiara that they selected for me was about $150 each. I found them on ebay (brand new) for only $16 each. The store was so crowded most of them time I went, and there was not enough staff to help me try on my dress. I always had to wait for a staff to help me.

I went to Cosmo Salon in Chinatown in Houston, where I usually cut my hair. Lana did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup. My hair looked really good in pictures. A friend even asked for my hairstyle pictures for her wedding. My makeup looked very natural, and it lasted the whole day. The price was very reasonable as well. The only thing I didn't like is that she pushed fake eye lashes on me (which I am TOTALLY not into!), but after being persistant, I left with my REAL self.
