The reception was everything we ever dreamed of -- and then some!
The view atop Mt. Washington is absolutely spectacular! The decor of LeMont is incredibly beautiful! The meal was amazing - everything was delicious.
Bill Laughlin and his staff were so nice and helpful. He [Bill] promptly answered our numerous emails and phone calls. They did a wonderful job in setting up all of our tables, centerpieces, photos, etc., etc.
We were definitely working on a budget -- but we were treated as though we were millionaires. Our guests are still raving about the wedding reception.
It had been my daughter's dream to have her wedding at Heinz Memorial Chapel since she was a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh.
I will admit that we weren't too keen on the idea at first - all of the family and friends live at least an hour away from Pittsburgh. And calling and calling and calling a year in advance to reserve a time slot at the Chapel is a very stressful experience. And you are on a very tight schedule for the rehearsal and wedding.
But the Chapel is so incredibly beautiful and the wedding coordinators Anita and Jackie were so kind and helpful. And Steven, the organist was just phenomenal.
My daughter and son-in-law had the fairy tale wedding of their dreams at Heinz Memorial Chapel. My son-in-law remarked that it was just so wonderful to have the wedding there. Guests were awestruck at the architecture and the grandeur of the Chapel.
Photography was very important to me. I wanted wonderful photographs that captured and conveyed every moment and detail of my daughter and son-in-law's wedding day.
After an extensive search, my daughter and I found Joanna Fassinger's website. Her work is phenomenal and we immediately booked her - 19 months before the wedding!
Joanna is an extraordinary photographer. Her ability to capture the emotions in a very romantic fashion is outstanding. She is incredibly creative and can make masterpieces out of a rain puddle and reflections. She takes the traditional posed shots with the family -- but she also shoots in a photojournalist way. She has a very artistic eye and the uncanny ability to use sun flare to its finest. She is very warm and friendly and puts you so at ease.
I cannot rave enough about Joanna Fassinger! The wedding day is over, but thanks to the incredible talent of Joanna, we have every moment captured through the lens of her camera.
Blooms Florist was my daughter's dream florist for her wedding. Working on a small budget, we were afraid that flowers from Blooms Florist were out of our reach but Michael Jacobs made my daughter's dream come true!
Michael was so friendly at our first meeting, that we left his shop feeling as though we had known him for years! He listened to my daughter's ideas and offered his own suggestions. He always answered our phone calls and emails promptly.
I was so excited to see the flowers on the wedding day and I was not disappointed! Michael's vision and talent of bouquets and centerpieces reflected not only a classic elegance, but also brought in the rustic feel of the countryside where both of our families live.
The wedding day may have been rainy (and a wee bit of snow) with temperatures only in the high 30s -- but the works of art that Blooms Florist created in the hues of orange, red and yellow (along with wheat) brought beauty and bursts of vibrant color and made us forget about the dismal weather outside.
Her creations are out of this world! Autumn is incredibly talented and creative! Her cakes are magnificent works of art. Her cakes are seriously the best cake I have ever tasted - it literally melts in your mouth!
We actually hired Autumn to make 2 shower cakes for my daughter's bridal shower, as well as the Wedding Cake and a Groom's Cake.
We are still getting compliments on the shower cakes: a Chanel purse cake and a Sex And The City Themed Cake, complete with a high heel shoe!
The Groom's Cake was a mini replica of the Stanley Cup -- and was a huge hit with all of the guests! The wedding cake was so beautiful with the fondant icing and all of the edible pearls.
Jodi did a fantastic job dj'ing my daughter and son-in-law's recent wedding! She kept the dance floor packed until the moment the reception ended! People from age 9 months to 77 years old out there. The music was spot on -- there was something for everyone to dance to -- and for the non-dancers, I spied them sitting at the tables, swaying to the beat and tapping their toes!
The volume was perfect - not too loud, not too low. And the lights were an extra special touch!
Jodi's friendly professionalism was a breath of fresh air compared to many weddings I have attended where the DJ talked more than playing music. She did an excellent job getting us all lined up for the intro at the beginning of the reception!
Jodi Colella is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh! I highly recommend her. We also hired Jodi to put on the chair covers and sashes at the reception. She did an outstanding job.

I will never forget hearing the sounds of the bagpipes just moments before my daughter's wedding. I peeked out the doors of Heinz Memorial Chapel and there stood George, clad in his tartan, playing the bagpipes as he welcomed guests to the wedding.
George is an incredible bagpiper! The guests all raved at his talent. It had always been my daughter's dream to have a bagpiper precede her and her Father down the aisle on her wedding day - and George made that dream come true.

I ordered Lindt Lindor Truffles as favors for my daughter's wedding.
Candy Favorites had the best price on the truffles and they offered free shipping. Additionally, the customer service was outstanding! The owner of the company personally emailed me and went the extra mile to make sure that the truffles would be in stock and delivered before the wedding.
The truffles were delicious and were a huge hit with our guests. I highly recommend Candy Favorites.
The Bridal Party had a blast on the Trolley! It was the perfect way to drive around Pittsburgh while taking photographs.
Ron, the driver, was extremely helpful and kind. The extra touches of playing music for the bridal party was much appreciated. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed riding the Trolley.
I highly recommend Molly's Trolleys! Linda was very helpful in assisting us with our timeline.
