I was overall very pleased with my choice to use The Gettysburg Hotel as my venue. Despite a few minor hiccups (and what wedding is without any) I was very satisfied. All my guests commented on how I couldn't have picked a nicer venue. Not only the catering staff but every worker at the hotel was awesome!! The receptionists at the front desk took our gift baskets to put in the rooms of our out of town guests, were always on hand to recommend a restaurant or let me into parts of the wedding/reception area that were closed for the night. My wedding was just after Christmas and they took down some decorate Christmas trees that I didn't want in my ceremony/reception room although a business was having their Christmas part the next night and had requested them. I could go on and on . . . .

I could not have been happier with the photos that Kris did for me. I don't really like photographs of myself so I worked with Kris to make a custom package for my wedding. I did not plan on seeing the proofs and liking every one!!! I also like that you are able to purchase a DVD of the photos. She is also able to photoshop things out of the photos and change things. I would definitely recommend KMPhotography for weddings. The only thing is that it is a smaller studio so you should be prepared to wait a little longer for your photos.

I loved Ory Custom Florals!! The only thing I said that I would splurge on at my wedding was the flowers and I wanted LOTS of them. I found Ory by accident and made an appointment. He knew what I wanted better than I did!!! He also provided lots of stuff that a florist normally doesn't like the aisle runner and some spotlights for the ceremony. I would definitely recommend Ory and my advice is to tell Ory the theme and let him handle everything else. You won't be dissapointed.

Karen's cake she made for us was awesome!! The cake came with our wedding package at The Gettysburg Hotel. Seeing that it was included I was worried that our choices would be limited but I was wrong!! We were able to get each of our three tiers with a different flavor (chocolate ganache with raspberry and fudge icing, orange with milk chocolate icing and spice with cream cheese). We had a picture from a magazine that we wanted it to slightly resemble and it looked even better than we could have imagined. She even monogrammed our cake as we wished. I will be going to Karen again in the future for anniversary cakes.

I was very pleased with Matt at Occasions DJ's. He was very professional and performed the music for my ceremony as well. He brought three systems with him (one for the ceremony, one for the cocktail hour room and one for the reception) at no extra charge and I definitely appreciated that. We went over a very thorough list and everything was pulled off without a hitch!!
