Lisa was so great to work with. She took some basic ideas we had (a nice sit down dinner) and made a really great menu. She took care of all of the table/chair/linen rentals which was fantastic to not have to worry about. She was very accommodating when we asked to change or add things and provided lots of helpful suggestions along the way. We chose beef tenderloin for the main course, and we initially had some reservations about guests receiving too-well done beef. We asked several guests at several tables about the quality, and everyone said it was excellent so I guess we didn't need to worry! Our vegetarian guests also had a great meal, they didn't feel like second-class eaters at all. Everything was just fantastic! In the beginning, I did feel the price was high, but we received true excellence for it. I would gladly pay it again for such a great service!
Dave was amazing! He was the first photographer we interviewed, and after an hour with him we decided not to interview anyone else. He truly went "above and beyond" on the wedding day. He captured the entire event, he seemed to be everywhere at once and didn't miss a single minute of the day. He made us feel very comfortable during the formal shots, and he was very relaxed the whole day. Friends commented on how great Dave was, they appreciated his easy going attitude and humor. In fact, Dave was so involved and so fun, lots of people asked whether he was a family friend and commented how amazing he was! The pictures were online about a week after the wedding and the proof book came within a week or two of the wedding, which was fantastic. We got an amazing value for a low price, very well worth it.
I do not know a thing about flowers. When I met with Terri, I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted other than local. She looked at the pictures I brought and suggested a few ideas. I really felt like she understood what I was talking about, even though I wasn't sure what I was talking about half the time! I mostly let her run with it, because I don't know a thing about flowers and she really understood my loose vision, and she was really great. Everything was beautiful and exactly perfect. She went above and beyond with centerpieces and decorating our venue. The bouquets were gorgeous, definitely one of my favorite aspects of the day! Terri was sometimes a little hard to track down by phone or email, but she always got back to me, I never had to call/email repeatedly. The quality of her work is well worth it!!
Cakeism was fantastic. Melissa was able to meet with me within a few days of my initial contact and brought tasting samples to the first meeting. The samples were pretty substantial so we could really get a good idea of what we liked. She was very flexible with providing other samples, and we ended up with a cake that tasted better than I could ever imagine. I wanted a very simple design, 3 round tiers with ribbon at the base. Melissa made it look so chic and elegant that even I was surprised I had picked out something so lovely! My favorite part of working with Melissa was how she used her experience and expertise to bring my loose vision to life, in a way that was better than I could have imagined.
Your Very Own Fairy Godmother was excellent. Dawn truly kept me sane throughout the whole process, but especially in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. My friends were impressed that I could be so calm and collected, I owe it all to her and her team! My guests were also surprised that I had a team of professional event planners at the ceremony and reception, no one noticed them at all. They made sure that my groom and I had everything we needed so that we could enjoy the night with our friends and family. Truly wonderful.
