Our Story

We met at work in the Fall of 2003. He worked in IT and I was a part time worker in one of the Administrative Offices.

The Ring

I learned later that he planned for weeks to propose in Rockefeller Center. He had friends coming with cameras to capture the moment. However, the night before we were suppose to go, I sprained my foot on the way home from work. Although he was very upset he played it off well, I had no idea. A few days later, 2 days before Christmas 2008, he proposed in front of his tree at his house. He knew how much I loved Christmas and he made sure it was in front of a Christmas tree =D I was completely shocked and am the happiest girl in the world =D

Our Wedding Plans

Our wedding is going to be outside, in front of a gazebo in Staten Island, NY with a cocktail hour and reception to follow.  My favorite color is baby blue so the girls will be wearing that color :) My FH also likes blue so his kilts (yes kilts) will be dark blue and green.

In honor of the Grooms Scottish heritage, the grooms and groomsmen will be wearing traditional Scottish kilts. There will also be bagpipers on hand as well as various different aspects of the Scottish tradition throughout the evening.

Our Planning Experience

I have to say that planning my wedding has seriously been like a dream.  Every now and then I stop and say, wow, I'm getting married! I'm so excited! I can't take it!  I've slowly begun to wedding plan and joined this site to help with creative ideas and advice that my non engaged or married and too busy with their lives friends wouldn't have to offer.
