Our Story

Kurt and I met in Sept 2005 while I was bartending at a local hole in the wall bar. He was friends with my uncle, who introduced us. I was actually in a relationship at the time. We hit it off immediately. everyone could see the chemistry. It wasn't long until EVERYONE who saw us together would tell me that I should break up with my boyfriend and start dating Kurt. About a month after meeting and hanging out with each other in groups, the chemistry between us grew stronger and stronger. I ended up breaking it off with my boyfriend...the rest is history!

The Ring

My ring is a funny story... Sept 2006 Kurt went on a fishing trip with a bunch of friends. I decided I was going to clean out his room and start switching out his fall clothes with summer. While I was diong this I found 3 engagment style rings in his dresser. Kurt had told me that he has NEVER asked anyone to marry him.. so immediately I think he is lying to me and I call him in a RAGE! He immediately acted like he didnt know what I was talking about and said he would talk to me when he got home. About 3 or 4 hours later he calls me and tells me to meet him at the bar we met at. I said fine... went down there and he tells me that his friend gave him 2 of the rings because he told her he wanted to propose to me but could not afford to get me my own ring. The third ring was a ring he had bought for a girl he had dated before me. but he never gave it to her. It was not an engagement ring, more of a promise ring. But they broke up before he could give it to her.

A few months later, December 8, 2006 to be exact. Kurt asked me to marry him. He gave me the ring he had bought... and asked me to wear it until he could afford to get a new one. I have decided that I want to keep this ring. When he bought it does not matter to me. Just the words and feelings that were shared when it went on my finger.
