I am so lucky to have booked Grace from Vale Of Enna for my wedding flowers! Her centerpieces were gorgeous and her prices were below that I received from other florists. I wanted something a bit different and she made the prettiest submerged and branch centerpieces I could have imagined. I received many compliments after the wedding about my flowers. Best of all, though, she was great to work with. It may take her a while to get your estimate to you, but do not let that deter you, because once booked she's so flexible and easy to work with. When my wedding was going over budget, she had no problem in letting me provide silk petals for the aisle runner instead of the fresh ones I had originally requested and she provided me with complimetary fresh petals for my picture table at the last minute! Also, I used her services to build a fabric mandap/chuppah with strings of orchids and her creation was stunning. She incorporated beautiful lighting effects and understood my style so well that everything looked absolutely perfect for me. Also, she was available late in the evenings, which made meeting with her even more stress-free!
Barry was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We had a very non-traditional wedding, with a mix of American and Hindu traditions, including quite a few rituals and Hindi words and Barry did a phenomenal job. The ceremony exceeded our expectations! Barry easily guided us through all of the rituals. The venue's microphone did not work properly so he turned it off and my guests said they had no trouble hearing him. Many people told us they loved our ceremony and I have no doubt a lot of that is due to Barry. We've already had two requests for his contact information and I'm happy to endorse his services. I had no worries even before the wedding day because he worked very closely with me to understand the ceremony and pronounce all of the words. He was very enthusiastic throughout the planning process, which made us even more excited and at ease. In addition, I sent him the ceremony materials very late, yet he was extremely nice and calm the entire planning process. At first, my husband and I wanted to go with a judge so there were no religious aspects to the ceremony, but Barry was so flexible and understanding and he never pushed anything religous into the ceremony per our request. Also, his price is extremely affordable, especially with all of the time and effort he puts into the ceremony planning. I cannot imagine a better officiant!
I booked Costiano limo services because their of their friendliness on the phone and their quoted cost was much less than other limo services. However, they were the one vendor who really messed up on my wedding day. I used their services to transport my wedding party and photographers around Chicago for pictures. First, we had booked a 10 person limo and we received an 8 person limo. When the driver refused to let us all in for insurance reasons, we had to get a cab for a groomsmen and photographer for two of the stops. Although not too hard, it's not something you want to experience on your wedding morning. Also, and this is partly our fault, we decided to change the location of the pictures on the day. However, I had stressed the importance of getting a driver that knew his way around Chicago before booking their services and I was assured they did. So after we told the driver the new address, instead of just saying he didn't know and letting us direct him, he said okay and took us the wrong way until our photographer informed us so. I realize our location change came as a surprise, but we were approachable and he should have asked for help from us. Then, to top off the experience, the driver charged me $39 more than we had agreed to. When I argued with him, I unfortunately did not have the email with the price with me and he said he was charging us what he was told and there was nothing he could do about it. After my wedding, I emailed the company, who had been quite responsive before, about these issues and included a forward of the email in which the size and price of the limo is stated. It's been over a week and they have not emailed me back. Aside from not being reimbursed for the cabs and the overcharge, an apology has also not been given. Do not book this limo service as your whole group may not make it to your destination and you will have added stress on your wedding day!
I cannot imagine how my wedding would have gone without Cindy from Just The Little Things! I used her day-of services, but she provided so much more than I expected. We met a month before my wedding for many hours to go through the plan for the day and a walk-through of the venue and she answered so many questions and gave so much advice, that she instantly put me at ease. On the day before my wedding, I was over an hour late to drop things off at the venue and she waited the entire time, which was above and beyond. She really advocated on my behalf with my vendors and even family. On the day, there were many issues that I didn't know about because she took care of them discreetly, which made my day so much more relaxed. Also, whenever I had a problem or someone would approach me with an issue (and there were a lot!), I instantly would tell them to ask Cindy and it would be taken care of. I was running late on the day and she was great at keeping the whole wedding party on schedule. Also, she did a great job helping with the set up of my rooms, making sure every detail was exactly as I wanted. The only regret I have is I didn't book her for more extensive services. She has great advice and style and in hindsight I would have loved to use her services for my programs, favors, etc as well as vendor advice. For any party I throw in the future, I'm definitly going to book Cindy's services!
