Having our reception at the Public Landing was easily one of the best wedding decisions we made. First of all, the restaurant is housed in the historic Gaylord building, which provided for a breathtakingly beautiful site, full of charm and history. Additionally, the newly-renovated gardens and park next door also made a beautiful spot to take photos before the reception started. And because PL is first and foremost a restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing! We kept getting compliments all night (and have since after the wedding) on how great the food was. My favorite part of the meal was dessert, though - we opted not to have a cake in order to serve our guests their signature dessert: a basket made of caramel, filled with white chocolate mousse and fresh berries. The restaurant area is on the first floor of the building, while the banquet area is on floor two, which meant that our party was completely our own - no random people wandering in or walking through.

Probably the best part about choosing the Public Landing would have to be the staff. Tim, the event coordinator there, made everything incredibly easy for us and was extremely accommodating. For example, our reception was on a Saturday night and we wanted to come in to decorate the day before. Even though they were approached to have another event there on Friday, Tim reserved the space for us so that we were able to decorate on Friday afternoon.

I honestly can't say enough great things about Public Landing. It's a restaurant that my family has been going to since I was a child, and having my wedding reception there was perfect.

My sister and I both used Sass & Class flowers for our weddings (two months apart!), and we were both thrilled with the end result. We scouted florists in the area for months before deciding to go with Courtney at Sass & Class, and it was well worth it. Our flowers were beautiful and the price was reasonable. We had two wildly different weddings and themes, but Courtney was able to cater to both of our needs to make both weddings absolutely stunning. Her level of professionalism was amazing, as well - a week before my wedding one of my main flowers came in "not up to her standards" so she replaced them with an even more beautiful flower for amazing bouquets. I would definitely recommend Courtney at Sass & Class for any bride in the area.

All I wanted was a beautiful, simple wedding gown - with no frills, beading, lace, etc. - and was having a very hard time finding one that was still fashionable and elegant without all the bells and whistles until I began looking at Martin McCrea gowns online. I was unsure about ordering a dress online, but their return policy (try it on at home and send it back for a full refund if you don't like it) made it worth the try. I even needed the dress rushed and Martin was happy to have it sent overnight for me. The second I tried on the Tamsen dress, I knew that I had found the perfect dress for me - an offwhite, silk, sheath dress with elegant braiding for the straps and a deep back. On the day of my wedding everyone told me my dress one of the most beautiful dresses they had seen - and the price was reasonable! I paid far less than $1000 for a couture gown that was absolutely stunning.

Ryan Neuschafer was our DJ from Beep Media and he did an amazing job. We weren't even sure we wanted to spend the money on a DJ at first, but the minute we met Ryan we had no hesitations about hiring him. We were drawn to Beep because of their refusal to play cheesy songs, bring crazy props, etc., and they completely delivered. After two meetings with Ryan he knew exactly what kind of music we wanted played, and my husband and I both felt that the music was perfect, as did many of our guests who have complimented us on the song selections.

Beep is definitely the company to go with if you want a completely personalized DJ for your wedding. It honestly felt that Ryan hand picked each and every song played just for me and my husband.

My husband and I chose invitations from Wedding Paper Divas because of the extremely high quality they provided. We wanted something simple, yet elegant, and this is exactly what WPD gave us. I can't even remember how many compliments we got on our invitations, but everyone loved them.

We ordered our invitations online, as they website was extremely user-friendly, but you can also call a representative at any time to help you with your order or to answer any questions that you might have. Also, the website fills in the information on a virtual invitation as you fill it into the website, so you have an incredibly clear idea of what the invitations will look like even before you see the proofs. Turnaround time was incredibly fast and all of the stationary that we ordered arrived in pristine condition. Definitely worth spending the money on.
