Christin came highly recommended to me by a friend who had family portraits taken by her. Christin is laid-back, no-nonsense, and is a friendly person. She was great at our wedding - the party went longer than expected and Christin was right there to capture all of it! I really enjoyed working with her - she is a wonderful person. We are currently working on the album and I can't wait to see it. The website was AMAZING - the photos were AMAZING!!! It is almost three months later and I'm STILL getting complements on the photography! My husband and I sneaked off with her to the Charles River and took some great pictures outside. Also, during the ceremony she really captured the mysticism of the Greek Orthodox Wedding ceremony. In regards to pricing: Christin has great packages and is very flexible about adding/removing options. She is great!!

I loved so many of the cakes in the books at Party Favors but could not decide what to do; I showed them a picture of my dress and they came up with the idea to create my dress as the wedding cake! I gave them a swatch of fabric from my gown and they matched the frosting to the exact color. This cake was AMAZING. We did different flavors in every layer:

Top: chocolate cake with raspberry chocolate mousse
2nd: yellow cake with mocha mousse
3rd: chocolate cake with mocha mousse
4th: yellow cake with strawberries and cream
5th: (this was in back, because the cake would have been HUGE if it was all stacked up) chocolate cake with strawberries and cream

Prices are really great for Boston cake and the people are very nice. They create the cake to serve your guests - top layer is served and on your 1st anniversary they will make you a fresh cake if you give them a picture for their album.

Our cake was the cake written about in the Spring 2007 Bridal Issue of the Improper Bostonian.

Their butter cream frosting is the best I've ever had, and they have the best mini cupcakes (we had them at our engagement party and my bridal shower).

Delicious!

Very nice selection of gowns; great designers.
Boutique style shop with personalized service.

The best part: Unlike other bridal salons in the Boston area, you can pick out the dresses you want to try on!!

Maria is fabulous and has a great eye to help you find the right dress. I also bought my shoes here as they have a fairly large selection of shoes.

I purchased: Jim Hjelm dress; Paris crystal headpiece; a custom veil (worked with the veil woman to select the color, trim, material, length, fullness and style & colors of scattered crystals); Dyeables shoes - dyed to match my blush pink dress).

Also, my bridesmaids and jr. bridesmaid got their dresses here for 15% off - a perk of purchasing your dress and ordering their dresses here. My mother bought her Mother of the Bride dress here, and her Mother of the Groom dress for my brother's upcoming wedding.

I looked everywhere for invitations; locally the costs can be very high and I didn't feel it was worth it to spend a lot on something others were going to throw away. We also needed about 125 invitations (so ordered 150) and that can get very pricey.

I found this website through www.theknot.com. My main concern was that the paper was going to be "cheap" - thin and flimsy. I ordered free samples of various invitations and was pleased that some of the invitations were actually on a high quality, heavier paper. I also did not want printed lettering (read: I didn't want it to look like I had printed them at home). My invitation came with raised lettering (thermography is standard on almost ALL of their products) so it looks & feels like an engraved invitation.

The prices were so cheap for my invites and I got all the extras like pearlized lining on the inside envelope, reception cards, response cards. Here is the breakdown so you can get an idea:

150 SQ BR WH VL INVITE #AV189 $118.95
BLACK INK #4BLACK $.00
25 INNER ENVS ONLY #4ENVIN $3.00
175 PEARL ENV LINING #XL44PRL $24.50
25 OUTER ENVS ONLY #4ENVOUT $3.00
150 RETURN ADDRESS ON ENVS #4OUTR $19.00
150 RECEP FOR AV189 #AC189 $62.95
150 RESPOND FOR AV189 #AR189 $69.95
1 EXTRA LINES #4INXL $1.00
25 TISSUES ONLY #4TIS .25
1 SPECIAL SET UP #4SPEC $12.00

I suggest printing out the online proof and placing it on top of the sample invite from the mail when trying to pick the font. They have a nice selection of fonts as well.

I also found my invites on another site for $30 more an invitation. These are the best prices on the Web.

Shipping was $18 and they came in two weeks.

This is the store for the girl who loves jewlery.

The selection on the floor is fabulous, and the have more in back. If you get your engagement ring there, you get a voucher for 10% off your wedding bands. They also have a huge wedding band/engagement ring sale in the summer. Great people. They know their customers. They also host events during the year. They will work with you to do custom rings as well. The people know their stuff and don't hassle you at all.

For diamonds, you can hand select the diamond you want. They will work in any budget you specify. Generally the diamonds are appraised at twice what you paid - they have great deals for high quality.

We also bought our attendants' gifts here; they ordered 7 matching necklaces and 7 matching cuff links for us and then wrapped them.
