Malone's handled our catering for our early May 2009 wedding. They were great! The food was excellent (everyone raved about the appetizers - buffalo wings and sweet and sour meatballs - and the chocolate fountain, especially) and they transformed our conference hall into a beautiful wedding reception. It was wonderful! Joan H. and Misty are especially great - they helped adjust the contract & small details until everything was right, and followed through on everything per the contract - there's nothing that was missed at all! They did an awesome job! The servers were wonderful, and there was plenty of food for everyone. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars on responsiveness was because there were a few times where it took a little while to get a response back (or I had to send information twice), but I'm sure it was just because they are really busy coordinating other events, too! It was a busy time of the year! Overall, they were wonderful and really helped make our reception what it was. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone - they really did everything for us and made things less stressful for us leading up to the big day! :)
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. That's really all that I can say. I have no idea how two people can always find the most perfect, flattering shots, but they do. Each and every time. They are wonderful to work with - they make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and they are always so great about getting the shots you want. Our engagement photos were amazing (we get tons of compliments all of the time on ours) and my husband, myself, and our whole wedding party had such a blast during our photos. We can't wait to see them!
You can't possibly go wrong with Kevin and Alicia Monahan - just check out their website - every single picture is wonderful. There's a reason they are booking out so far in advance... if you want perfect wedding photos - you're in great hands with Kevin and Alicia!
Choosing Kathy's Kloset as our florist was by far one of the BEST decisions we ever made for our wedding. They did an absolutely beautiful job with our 5/2 wedding. My family and all of our guests have complimented us and reiterated how beautiful the flowers were at the wedding. They did an amazing job on the unity candle arrangement, the bridal bouquet (oh my gosh it was absolutely STUNNING) and the bridesmaids bouquets. The cake topper was absolutely gorgeous. We received so many compliments. It was absolute perfection! I also appreciated how much Kathy and her staff went out of their way over the last year and a half to help answer all of my questions and helping make changes along the way. They are absolutely amazing and gifted floral designers - I had the best time at my planning session with Kathy. She lets you just play around and put together combinations to find something perfect for her brides. She and her staff make you feel so comfortable to really let your personality show through the flowers. My husband and I agree that it made our wedding ceremony extra special! Based on the gorgeous floral arrangements, the extra care they put into answering all of my questions and making all of my little changes (or big changes!) along the way - you are certainly in AMAZING hands if you go with Kathy's Kloset. Plus - you'd think that for all of these services (gorgeous flowers, superior service, etc.) that they'd charge something ridiculous. Absolutely not the case.... they were among the most reasonable florists around but they give you 5 Star Service.
I know we couldn't have asked for a greater florist! They made our special day so beautiful.
Heavenly Sweets recently made our wedding cake for our May 2nd wedding. We had learned of Heavenly Sweets at my very first bridal show - my mother, maid of honor, and I tasted their cake as soon as we walked in the door. Though we visited many booths, we never forgot Heavenly Sweets' cake. No other cakes came anywhere close to Heavenly Sweets, so after we went to our tasting, we were absolutely hooked. They did such an beautiful job with our wedding cake and a ton of my guests complimented and reiterated how beautiful & AMAZING the cake was. They did an amazing job - from the aesthetics of the cake to the actual taste of the cake, I think that was one of the things we've received the most compliments on since the wedding!!!! It was absolute perfection! Their staff also went above and beyond by going out of their way over the last year and a half to help answer all of my questions and helping with everything (such as being there when our extra ribbon was delivered to their shop, etc.) along the way. Most importantly, my husband and I agree that it made our wedding ceremony extra special! I seriously cannot thank them enough for everything they did. We couldn't have asked for a greater experience for our cake!
If you don't mind spending a little extra for your wedding cake, you will absolutely, positively not regret it! We had so many people say the wedding cake was one of the best they have ever tasted - we are very much looking forward to ordering a cake in a year to celebrate our one-year anniversary!
I am an Indianapolis bride who was so grateful for a place like Bridal and Formal. I had found a dress online, a Maggie Sottero "Anastasia" that no store in the Indianapolis area carried. I called up Bridal and Formal and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They had mentioned that they had the dress and would be happy to hold it for me to try on. I mentioned when I would be coming in, and cheerfully hung up. About a week and a half later, I went to Cincinnati to try on the dress. The minute I walked in (on a Saturday), there were about a half dozen other brides waiting to go through the dress shopping process. Once I said my name, a lady said, "Oh! We have that dress here waiting for you, we pulled it since you were coming!" That was just the first little "extra" that Bridal and Formal provided for me. Alison was my salesperson and she was awesome! By the end of the visit, I felt like she was a long lost friend! She made me feel very comfortable in taking extra time to decide on the dress. The only thing I did not like was the "open format" of the dressing rooms. You have to basically strip down in front of other brides in a big room with mirrors. They also have a small area in case you want some additional privacy, but it isn't overly convenient. Other than that, they're great! Once you find a dress, they'll even take you to the "accessories" place to pull your hair up and give you a better idea of what you'll look like glammed up - they even suggest hairstyles that compliment your face and the dress! They make you feel like such a princess. Anyways - I ended up waiting a couple of days to think about the dress - but ultimately, although I could have ordered it back in Indy - I wanted to go through Bridal & Formal based on the great experience I had with them. I had my dress shipped to me, and it was perfect.
A great place to go to find hard-to-find dresses - and a helpful hint - don't take the price tag on the dress as being an absolute - if you like the dress, the salesperson will come back with a "special price" if you were to buy the dress that day. We didn't buy the dress that day, but we put down a deposit to hold the current price... GREAT deal!

Phyllis and Friends did such an beautiful job with our wedding 5/2/09. All of our guests have complimented the string trio we had and reiterated how beautiful the music was at the wedding. Kathryn Schilling did an amazing job helping with the arrangements, and keeping everything flowing smoothly. My husband and I agree that it made our wedding ceremony extra special! Kathryn even went above and beyond to order new music for us when she didn't have a few of the songs that I had liked (Vivaldi) - she was GREAT - so helpful with recommendations (as I'm not aware of all of the classical music out there) and was very flexible.
I don't think we could have asked for a greater trio! They made our special day so beautiful - so you should definitely consider Phyllis and Friends. You'll be in GREAT hands! Ask for Kathy Schilling!
