i am so glad we went with the landmark! it was the only venue we visited, and we booked it right on the spot. we met with nella first, and she was great, and explained everything, and listed to all our requests and questions, and answered everything. we had a movie themed wedding, and were looking to have a popcorn machine, and they had one that we were able to use, so we didn't have to rent one! we also worked a lot with andrew. when we went to finalize all our details, he was so accomodating. could we do this? no problem, i don't know which color napkins? do both! they work with brother's bakery in kearny, and we wanted a cake that we saw in an ad for our cake topper, just square, white, with a red carpet down the front, and he said they could do it no problem....and the cake was fantastic! exactly what i wanted! and the ice sculpture came out perfect too! on the day of, when we rolled up in the limo, nella came to greet us right away, with our maitre 'd, dee....dee was amazing. she was where ever we needed her to be before we needed her to be there....everything ran so smoothly and seamlessly....she was great.....the food was fantastic, and all i hear from our guests was how much food there was in the cocktail hour, and how delicious it all was! i wish we had the chance to enjoy our vianese hour, but from what i saw, it was a great spread.... i have nothing but positive reviews for the landmark. my wedding was perfect, and the venue, and everyone that works there was outstanding.
Metropolitan Plant & Flower Exchange Saddlebrook, New Jersey
yumilla at metropolitan plant exhange was amazing. the first time i met with her, i knew that we would use her. i wasn't sure what kind of bouquet i wanted, either all gerbers, or white and red calla lillies. she made me a mock up of both bridal bouquets, and the all red bm bouquet i wanted, before i even decided to book her! both bouquets were gorgeous, and in the end i went with the all gerbers. when we went for our final meeting, i asked if we could put some hydrangea in my bouquet as well, and when it arrived on my wedding day, it was perfect! all the bouquets were gorgeous, and my mom's min bouquet as well. i didn't get my toss bouquet, but, we ended up just using my mom's so that was fine. i wish i had tried to preserve my flowers. they were great. yumi is a sweet heart, i think everyone should use her! i was impressed by what she did for me, and by all the samples she had around the store. definately a great value for great flowers.
i love donna! i went into the store wanting this one dress, and she put it on me, and it didn't look so good, 5 dresses later, she picked a winner off the rack....she really knows what she's doing, and knows what dresses fit what body type best. we also ordered our bridesmaids dresses there. 2 of them came in wrong, so they re-ordered them, and unfortunately, my one bm lives in arizona, and wasn't able to get her dress fitted when she was in nj for another wedding. donna set it up with her seamstress that doesn't normally work on fridays, to spend all day before the wedding altering her dress...it turns out, not much work needed to be done, but they were great. my dress, and my alterations, as well as my bms dresses were amazing, and we all looked fantastic. we went there for my sister's gown and our bm dresses 9 years ago, and i never imagined getting my dress anywhere else.
mikey p and jesse were great...there was never a dull moment, or a lull on the dance floor. we did a movie theme wedding, and requested movie theme songs for our entrance, and mike was able to get them all. we also wanted movie scores playing through dinner, and he was able to pull that off too! they were perfect, not cheesy, not in your face or anything like that. he played great music, and had everyone dancing. we also had their photographer taking candids and playing them as a slideshow. i wasn't completely paying attention, but the pictures i did see were great. they were the only dj we met with, and we knew as soon as we met mike, he was it. he was pretty sure of himself, but was totally able to back it up. debbie was really friendly and helpful whenever i called, and i even spoke/met with johnny himself, and he was really great too. i definately would reccomend them.
i LOVED our invites! american wedding is great, because you can order free samples. i had at least 100 samples laying around my house, and always came back to the one we picked. ordering online was really easy, and they arrived quicker than expected. i had a question about the order (wasn't sure what their abbreviations meant) and i called, and they were really helpful and able to answer my questions. look for coupons online, but they are reasonably priced as it is. they definately came within my budget, and we had ordered way more than we actually needed. the quality was great, and the assembly was really easy too.
